I am curious to know if anyone has been to a 'lockdown party', and if so how you found the experience? What were the particular guidelines for the one attended, and what were the activities? Would you go again? Call me curious, I admit it...insatiably so.

When we were children, the recreational centers would have "lockdown parties" where we would all go inside the building on a Friday evening and not come out until Saturday morning. So we were "locked" in the party all night. There would be music, pizza, games, etc. It was a way to keep pre-teenage delinquents such as myself from running the streets and committing vandalism.

Oops, too much information again! They warned me about that.

I think Catalina means lockdown parties as orgies or swinging parties. In America you hear of them as events primarily for adventurous gay males but it stands to reason there are BDSM-themed lockdown parties. I assume it would be like going to an all night public event that was very open-minded with lots of wild activity. Basically everyone enters the party, someone locks the door and people start playing however they wish. No one leaves until the next morning.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I am assuming that was what she was getting at. Who has been to such an event? It would be curious to hear the first-hand accounts.

OK. I have read publicity promoting particular 'lockdown parties' which from what little information they present say they are the exclusive BDSM type format...as in you can be refused at the door if you do not fit their taste even if you have paid for a ticket. The doors open at a time, seems 10pm is popular, and close an hour later, and are locked. If anyone attending decides they want to leave before the usual 6 am reopening of the doors, they can whistle Dixie unless the hosts deem it a serious medical emergency. Seems nothing else will be cause to allow the doors to be opened before time.

The blurb emphasises the party is aimed at Dominant's pleasure and all sub/slaves who attend are expected to remember that and though they are not to be bothered by other Dominants without the permission of their own D, any complaints they have otherwise will not be listened to. There are a limited number of tickets, and Dominants who may have more than one sub/slave have to contact the organisers to see if they are permitted to bring more than one as they try to keep numbers even. The emphasis is also that activities of the party will be in the 'extreme', without defining what they class as extreme activity, and that people who think they may have problems with such activities should not bother coming.

I am curious to know if others have been to one, what it was like, what the extreme activities were (I know what I consider extreme but can be subjective I feel), and whether they had any problem with the being locked in aspect. I am curious. At this point it sounds fun on some levels, but I can also see it as problematic, and very into being judgemental along the lines of who is seen as being acceptable to be included. I also think some D's might have a problem with being told they are not leaving under any circumstance until 6 am.

This post will do nothing to answer Catalina's question, but I thought about this today and remembered something....I am only typing to pass time until the clothes come out of the dryer!

It was not called a "lockdown party" but come to think of it....the doors were actually locked!

This took place about 6-7 years ago. I was visiting some people I had known during university. Large city in the southern USA. Weekday night, probably Monday or Tuesday. It took place in the bar/lounge in the basement level of a large corporate building in the city's business district.

It was called a "Lingerie Show." I have heard of tamer versions of same concept, but this is what I observed that night. Perhaps the tamer versions are where they recruit men to attend the uncensored events?

I do not know how they coordinated the attendence. This was a weekly event (sometimes cancelled, but semi-regular) and I was admitted because my university friends vouched for me. Each of us paid an admission of $100. Yes, that's right. As will become clear, this was a for-profit party. They passed around a hat for collecting tips at each intermission.

It lasted about four hours. The setting was a standard bar you might see in a lounge or hotel. Functional but not trendy. A bar was open for drinks. I think there were about 30 guys in there. I remember thinking at the time that about 1/3 of them were acting gung ho and loud; 1/3 of them were having a good time or just going along (including me); and another 1/3 was real quiet or almost lurkers (seemed out of place).

They had a guy who was announcer and also played music with a boombox. LOL He brought out about ten women. They were probably 18-28 years old. All were either nice looking or at least very innocent looking. Some clearly had more experience than others. A couple of them had a stage fright look that maybe this was their first go-round.

The first part was nothng different from what you see in a typical bachelor party or certain strip clubs. (I do not spend lots of time in strip clubs, but there are "classy" strip clubs here where they filter the clientele and then tipping customers are allowed to touch the girls and have more interaction. It might not be legal, but it is allowed because the money is much better and women will take the job.)

They had an intermission and one friend could sense that I was wondering why we had bothered with this....why not just go to a normal club? "Just be patient," he said. I would see what he meant.

During the second phase things quickly got much wilder. There was limited audience participation, but the women were performing sex acts with each other. I watched two women do "ass to ass" with a double ended sex toy. When I saw the same scene in "Requiem for a Dream" a few years later, fairly accurate in its recreation (including the audience reaction), I almost started laughing at the memory.

The next phase, the coordinator began organizing a series of "games" to break the ice so any willing men audience would be guided into participating with the women. Drawing numbers out of a hat so people could do XYZ with a certain women. I figure this would be a standard part of any sex-related party. At some point a coordinator will invent games to get people mixing and make sure all reasonable attendees feel included.

The next to last part the girls came out to blow/fluff any men who were interested. Not intentionally to completion because there was still the grand finale, but if some guys were gonna be quick about things I guess that was their finale. Right after that, the hat was passed again and at that point the coordinator started an auction.

Several of the women were on sale for various sex acts. I remember two men bid on a girl who would be double penetrated. They agreed to flip a coin over which hole they would get to use. Others were just selling vanilla sex. A couple of girls were sold with the condition they would do anything the man wished. I watched the money, and it seems this payment (less a percentage, of course) went directly to the participating women. I expect they divided the "gate" and the "pass the hats" in a more standard way.

Basically each man who wanted something could buy it....bidding was more competitive for certain women, but the demand was fully met. Then they went to it. Some of the stuff happened in plain view and everyone could watch this girl be fucked by two guys. A few of the people disappeared to a private area for other things.

The coordinator then ran around asking people individually if they liked this party. He tried asking me some questions but I explained I was just in town visiting friends, so he quickly went to make other connections. Probably invitations to other parties or to take requests about what people wanted from the women.

All of the various scenes finished off and the coordinator asked for the women to be given applause. He led them out of the room, then came back and opened the door for people to leave. A little anti-climatic....we follow the others up a short flight of stairs back to the main lobby. Two security guards are there. Obviously they are involved with the operation because they do not even glance up as a bunch of men stroll out of this corporate building several hours after close of business.

In hindsight, I can see that a couple of the men in the audience were "plants" involved in the operation. They made the most noise, made the biggest tips, goaded others into action, their numbers were "randomly" drawn out of the hat for the initial games, etc. They were probably ready to do some security if necessary.

What struck me was that it was a party for men who wanted to be part of a group sex scene. It was not just the available women but the event. If a guy wants to buy an escort, he could get a woman to a private hotel room for less money than this party cost. And everyone knows sex workers have multiple clients, but I would not want to be watching a women fellate three different men before I fuck her up the ass fifteen minutes later. Again, it is for people who want an orgy-like atmosphere.

Nothing I saw was shocking or beyond my fertile imagination, but it was pretty extreme to my friends....perhaps because they got more involved with things. This party confirmed that group scenes did not trip my trigger. I elected to wear a condom for the few minutes of oral sex I received and I did not make bids for the final round of live action. It was fun from an intellectual standpoint, but it did not get my pulse racing any faster. Which is why I have avoided BDSM groups, I guess. I just prefer to do all of my unspeakables in privacy of the bedroom.

If it is a private event, I think they will let newcomers get acclimated or start by watching during first party. But if people are still just lurkers or acting creepy after a few events, I would imagine they would be uninvited to cull the losers from herd. Same with the poor tippers at for-profit events.

LOL, see that is what bothers me about the concept...the loss of liberty for both Dominants and submissives, and the added insinuation to want to leave for any reason would be showing yourself to be less than desireable and far from what they class as real or genuine lifestylers. But...curiousity does peak my interest. Damn.

Mmmmmm, sounds like an interesting party you went to. LOL, yes you are right.....nothing short of murder would freak me out I imagine, though there may be squeamish moments if I allowed my head to do it's usual transference and place me mentally in the position of recipient of any treatment I might find difficuult. What is more scary for me is that I might actually like what I see and want to try it, or worse still, and more likely, that a certain Master might get ideas and decide we are going to take part in whatever activity tickles his fancy on the spur of the moment. I sometimes think that is the best way to approach such areas of difficulty, but it is just that letting go enough to suggest it which gets me everytime....I'm working on it and must say, over the past few days have felt myself entering into a place where I am much closer to that concept than ever before.....so progress can happen after a lot of mental work!!

Catalina, keep in mind they have to make very grave sounding warnings to keep away the frivilous types who are just curious. Since I like telling stories, let me share an anecdote of a recent experience.

There was a new movie by Bertolucci called "The Dreamers" which was given an NC-17 rating. There are fifteen different theaters within 50 miles of me with a total of 100+ screens. But only one place agreed to play this movie...albeit on a very limited basis and maybe four viewings.

I get there half an hour early because I wanted good seats. I thought it would be a madhouse. Instead it is so quiet. They take my ID, verify my identity and so forth. I am escorted to the room and reminded that I cannot leave once I enter the theater. Only a few other people enter and they are given the same treatment.

Before the movie starts, the attendents come in and search the room to make sure there are no interlopers. Then they tell us to read the waivers on the back of the ticket, there are no refunds and the theater's parent company is not liable for anything. I am thinking: "Man, this is really crazy stuff! They are going waaaay overboard!"

(Compare this to when I saw "Y tu mama tambien" in a different theater. They were running an unedited version, not the "R" rated version that many people saw. I asked for a ticket and the manager simply asked me if I was aware of what sort of movie this would be. LOL I had the entire theater to myself for that one!)

Anyway, back to The Dreamers: I count that eight people are in the theater as the movie starts. At one point the French brother has the American guy fuck the French sister on the kitchen floor while he cooks eggs. Then the brother goes over and runs his hand along her cunt...and then licks his fingers! "Oh for crying out loud!" a woman screamed, getting up and leaving the theater in a huff. There was also a scene where the two guys share a bath with each other. That caused a man to repeatedly proclaim "this is gay shit" as he walked out.

Immediately after it was over, I looked around to see that only two people besides myself remained! I wondered if we should win a prize for surviving? I do not think less of anyone for leaving if they feel uncomfortable but the point I am making is that no one accidently stumbled into that theater. People had to have read the reviews on the internet in order to have even heard of it. Everyone was fully warned and yet five of the original eight people in the theater could not handle it.

So this might explain why there are lockdown parties?

But I guess we do have to start somewhere if we want to watch NC-17 movies. Ten years ago I was enjoying movies such as "Átame!" and "The Cook the Thief His Wife & Her Lover". I will not be shocked by a movie, it is just a question of whether I enjoy the show or find it interesting to see. But someone who had never seen a R-rated movie would be a fool to start with NC-17. So I think lockdown parties are to keep out the petulent newbies.

Keep in mind that even if the BDSM-aspect is fine, the other people at the party might be annoying....so who is to say? You might be worried about "extreme" when you should be worried if everyone else there will be an insufferable jerk. "Argh, get me away from these boring losers!"

Doesn't sound the same as the main feature of the ones I am hearing of is you cannot leave when you choose....hence the name 'Lockdown Party'.

I haven't heard of anything like this in regards to BDSM play, but I'm still pretty new to the scene. At this point I would have to say that I wouldn't be too interested. I don't mind being told that it's a gathering that will be lasting X hours, and that if I leave I WILL NOT be allowed back in. However I don't like the idea of being told I can't leave if I want. I'd be pretty concerned that I just wouldn't get along with or enjoy the company of the other people. Also considering how intense scenes can get without being "extreme", I don't see the logic in forcing people to remain when they may not wish to. I'd still like to hear about this if anyone has actually attended something like this before. Like Catalina, I'm at least curious to learn more even if it's something I wouldn't want to do myself.
