Local vs elsewhere

I've been online now since 1994. Over the course of time, I've found a few local people that I meshed well with. Not necessarily lovers or sex partners. Not necessarily men.

Now I do realize since this is the world wide web, chances of meeting local lovers or sex partners is far more slim than coming across potential lovers or sex partners elsewhere. But... They're always elsewhere! Why? I know I'm not alone here. I've heard others complain of the same thing. It's kind of sad.

This is true. I suppose if I were to really meet this people, at least some would pale in comparison to how they come across online. I did in fact meet one guy in another state. That went swimmingly well except for the fact that we were both married, so couldn't really do what we wanted to do. Yeah, I know some people would have gone through with it and perhaps had we had more time and privacy, we would have. But it was still all good!

I actually met 2 people in person from Lit when I was in Oregon. Never one person in Nevada though

What part of WA? I've met locals from here. We just had little to nothing in common.

I'm in Cuenca, Ecuador and I haven't found anyone else on Lit who lives here.

i don't get along all that well with anyone here who lives near me. i did come close to trying to meet one (we discussed it vaguely), but she just wasn't around much in general and then i moved and didn't come here much for a good year. when i came back she was here even less than before, so it just never came up again. oh well. i'd say i got over it, but there's nothing to get over.

Couldn't agree more, been a member of other swinging site's with no luck. Guess living in the southern bible belt has something to do with it ? Lol
