If you haven't heard, the UK government recently commissioned a report that said 'animals like lobsters, crabs and octopuses are sentient beings that feel pain, which serves as a step towards protecting the welfare of these species, '

Now, if you have been following the abortion debates in the States, one of the key points is that Pro Lifers say life begins at conception, and therefore abortions kill humans. Pro choice types say life does not begin until a fetus is viable (?).

Wondering if the protections to be applied to lobsters (full disclosure: sounds ridiculous to me)--based on lobsters feeling pain--will be used as an end around on the abortion debate. How does one say lobsters deserve welfare protections while a fetus does not?

This proves it is humane to boil a fetus in water.

Well it also explains why Republican kids have issues in school too. Pretty soon, it will be illegal to sit in a hot tub cause the heat kills sperm

you know what's really fucked up? assholes had to create a report that validated that animals feel pain. no wonder i hate humans.

Is this tired, old, refurbished meme day?

Again?

It's like Groundhog Day with you...

The occultist Aleister Crowley kept a diary in which he recorded his masturbatory ejaculations as human sacrifices.

Indeed, Crowley might well have intoned magic spells and dark prayers while masturbating -- it is exactly the sort of thing he would have done.

what's all this about giving an abortion with a lobster? are you people nuts? that sounds really painful! and unhygienic.
