I have very sad news, I’ve been toldthat Live Oak passed away at around 1pm Mountain Time.
Those of you who got to know him will have loved what a fun, silly, compassionate, lovely, courageous and strong person he is. Was…
I gather he was here with another nic that began with M, I don’t know more than that but will try to find out.
I can’t find words to do him justice, especially at the moment - I’m very much in shock.
Please do share memories, condolences, love, hugs, music - he loved country, his one flaw! - and anything else that comes to mind
I became close friends with him in the short time he was on here as Oak, because he had such an open spirit.
Going to miss you so much Oak…

I’m going to say something I appreciated about Oak each day until the oaks lose their leaves for fall

So - he had a fun and at times evil sense of humor!
How about catching up an hour late on the Olympics basketball and being told “Oh are you at the part yet where LeBron gets a career-ending injury?!”
He was so delightfully evil!

So Battle friends, remember Oak getting so bothered when he messed the count?
I thought he was joking but realized it seemed to bother him on some level
And I don’t know, but guess maybe that was in some small way about his sense of integrity and order and responsibility
Sometimes small things remind us what matters
So I am resisting messing the count
For now… it isn’t easy

Another memory of Oak
He loved to spread joy, and share it with those around him
Silly games, uplifting music, amusing anecdotes, he loved finding ways to make others smile, or ideally laugh their asses off
He was also one to ask the best part of my day - always encouraging thoughts of or achievement even on grayest days
