i think the hugs 'n' kisses, love they neighbor shit is good... we SHOULD respect our fellow man. i just think that we can do that AND call a spade a spade. if you're a scumbag there's no reason why we should spend a shitload of public money on you... we should be spending public money on keeping people from BECOMING scumbags.
Well allrighty then, I can get behind that, yup.

I've known a few people who were doing this in the middle of large American cities. They worked under-the-table, didn't pay taxes, made only cash purchases and all of their utilities were in other people's (real or fictitious) names.

Yup, know a few like this myself. The way to do it is not to draw attention to yourself, don't do outragous stuff (in public), stay under the radar... all the obvious things. I believe it was Bob Dylan who said, "To live outside the law you must be honest". I thinks you have to be aware of which laws you are willing to circumvent and be willing to live with the consequences.

On another note, if you are not going to hide in plain sight, ie. a city, then go to the forest, in the desert you will be discovered straight away.

Here's a far off tangent for everyone, or perhaps a good example. There is fossil evidence in Asia of a Bigfoot/Yeti creature living alongside Homo Erectus and archaic Homo Sapiens about 500,000 years ago (Gigantopithecus). In lieu of the prevelance of Bigfoot/Yeti legends, primarily in the Pacific Northwest, if Gigantopithecus does still extists in this context, its a small population, thus hard to find in those forests. If this turns out to be fact one day, its a perfect example of being able to get lost in the woods.

My 2 cents (it may be only worth crap though).

Cheers,
Brad
