My little thought, moment, is totally unrelated to BDSM, but hey, that's why this thread is in the cafe'. A place I can post things that are or aren't bdsm related that a few good friends can see.

For the most part this thread is just for people to post anything that happened that was just a great moment ... something wonderful that made them realize with all the hard times, there's sometimes something small that makes it seem all worth it.

Mine was coming home from work today and seeing a card on the counter from the adoptive parents of my son. My first feeling was slight concern. Now days they usually write only every six months or so, and I just got a lovely letter from them last week.

I opened the envelope to find inside a folded piece of red construction paper. On the front it said, "It's a picture of Carter w/ his baseball hat on". .. a picture that was very obviously drawn by a wonderful 4-yr-old. Flipping it over I read the first paragraph and felt such a happiness swell inside of me that I had to sit down to let the tears coarse for just a moment.

Very simply.. it said, "Carter brought this paper to me, drew a picture and said, I want to send this to my birth mother."

The first words I've known of his acknowledgement of me, the first picture I know specifically was done with thoughts of me in mind. A small thing that brought me an unbelievable amount of happiness.

The letter of course continued, telling me how they were, asking questions about how I was.

I couldn't have been more lucky than to have found such an amazing family to take care of, love, nuture, and raise, the most precious gift in my life.

What a wonderful story! It touched my heart and brought tears to my eyes!:rose:

How sweet and wonderful. I really like little kids. I like little kids better than most grown ups I know!

Little kids are great :)
Master's little grandaughter (3 years old) has only met me a couple of times, but she refers to me as "Nannie" and apparently talks about me whenever her "Poppy" talks to her on the phone :rose:
The last time I saw her she gave me the most wonderful hug and a kiss, without being prompted by anyone.....took me back to when my own daughter was that age :)

little kids are awesome..

I work at a day care center. My class is 4-5 year olds. So I've been gone for a week, (chicken pox, got it from one of them!). My boss just brought over my check (sick pay, YAY!) and a giant get well card from "my" kids, and monster cookies. The get well card is about 1.5 meters tall and half as wide with a purple soccer player on it! And they made the monster cookies with no raisins for me. Kids ROCK!
