Little Red Box

Sadie felt Viktors hands pull her back to him. She lay there on top, trying not to press to hard as he spoke. He had something to tell her, the look in his eyes told her it was something serious. Then he mentioned it was the reason he had left. Something she had wanted to know so long ago but was never told. Her brother had always said Viktor needed to go, it was better that way. Sadie never knew why, now she would.

She watched him as he spoke, telling her slowly about that night. Her overprotective brother. How he had feelings for her and told Lucas. Lucas had not been to receptive of it and they fought. Sadies heart skipped a beat. She had been the one for him. If he had only known that she felt that way. That for her Viktor was the end all of men, the one she rated everyone against.

She was just about to tell him that when his hand moved to her neck and pulled her to him. His lips moving softly on hers. Slowly opening her, testing her. She moved with him, her hands on his chest, wanting this. Her tongue slowly snaked out moving into his mout. Sadie had never been more sure of anything. Wanting Viktor, finally feeling this was incredable. She poured herself into this iss, saying what she hadn't said yet. Loving him with only her lips and tongue.

The kiss was hesitant at first. Viktor wanted Sadie to know how he truly felt, wanted to show her what he had dreamt of and lived for the majority of the past decade. But he didn’t want to force his unwanted attentions on her, and so the kiss was slow, uncertain at first. He’d seen the look of surprise and then happiness in her eyes as he’d told the story and he prayed that she understood, knew what it had been like for him all these years, bouncing between relationships, always feeling like something was missing.

Now he felt complete. His arms encircled her, pulling her tightly to his chest as the kiss deepened, his lips tasting hers, his mind whirling in a thousand directions at once as the cold air and snow covered ground slipped away from him, all his being focused on the texture and taste of her lips. His tongue came out, dancing with hers as years of desire fed itself into one perfect moment, his lips would have been in the biggest smile ever if they were not otherwise preoccupied.

Finally after what seemed an eternity he pulled his lips away from hers, one of his hands coming up to rest on her cheek as he stared into her eyes. “I’m sorry.” He said though he really wasn’t. “I know that was really abrupt of me, but I’ve been wanting to tell you for days now, and everything was so perfect tonight it seemed the best time…” He said, his mouth turned up into a very happy smile as he lay there with Sadie in his arms.

Sadie looked into Viktors eyes, smiling because she couldn't help herself. This was something she had dreamed of, never thought would come true. In the arms of the man she loved. She felt as though she was finally waking from a bad dream. Being held there in his arms. His hand on her cheek. Everything was so right, so perfect.

"Its always been you for me Viktor. My brother always told me you wouldn't be interested in a girl like me. That I wasn't even close to your type. He always pushed me away when I would want to let you know. Then you let and it broke my heart. My brother said it was best you left. That you had better things out there waiting. I believed him."

Sadie looked at him with sad eyes. For a lifetime it seemed they just staired, not believing this moment was there. That they let so much time slip by without saying a word. Her heart ceryed then and a tear sliped down her cheek. A sadness filled her but there was also a happiness. A great joy that now they had found one another again. That the feelings were still there and things could be set right.

Viktor wanted to swear, wanted to curse Lucas’ name for the lies he’d told Sadie and the way he had driven them apart. But right now Viktor didn’t care. His arms around her, the taste of her kiss still lingering on his lips as the soft snow fell around them, Viktor knew this was a once in a lifetime moment.

He smiled, a mixture of joy and sadness playing in his eyes as she spoke. If only he’d known that going away would cause her so much hurt. He would have never left. Even if it had meant a life more mediocre than he had made for himself he would have stayed for her. He wanted to think of something more to say, something to assure her that he would never hurt her again, but he couldn’t. All he could do was smile and draw her in for another kiss, as wonderful as the first.

He saw the tears in her eyes and brought his hand up to wipe them away. He felt her shiver in his arms slightly and he smiled as he helped her rise off him, bringing both of them to their feet. “I never would have left if I’d known Sadie. If I had thought there was even a hope I would have been here with you… like I am now.” He wrapped his arms around her again, pulling her close to his body where he held her for several minutes, the muted sound of winter accentuating the heavy beating of both their hearts.

Their second kiss was just as wonderful as the first. Feeling Viktors lips against hers, their softness, their movemnt. It was all a dream come true. One that Sadie didn't want to wake from. She couldn't help the tears as they continued to fall down her face. She was so happy, so wonderfully thrlled that finaly they were at this moment.

"I know you would never hurt me on purpose. Lucas never thought anyone was ever good for me, and he thought I wasn't your type. I wasn't blonde, wasn't all bubbly. He didn't think we'd fit together for whatever reason. He was wrong Viktor," she said with a smile as she was pulled even closer to him.

Even though she was laying on him, Sadie was getting a little cold. Her dress had moved up almost over her hips and was doing nothing to keep her legs warm. A silent chill went through her body and her teeth began to softly chatter.

"I think its time to get in the car Vik. My legs are cold and my teeth won't stop chattering. I think we should warm up by the fireplace at my apartment. What do you think?"

Though his blood was pumping out and his heart was warmed by the moment they were sharing, Viktor was forced to agree with Sadie that the dropping temperature was seeping into his core and the clothing they wore, while stylish, was in no way practical for a winter’s night. He smiled at the chattering of her teeth and helped her up off him, rising and removing his own jacket to wrap around her body, helping to keep her warm, but doing nothing for his own chill. He took her hand, squeezing it, letting the simple contact assure them that the moment was real, that they weren’t imagining their happiness.

He held the door open for her, smiling happily, almost goofily, the whole time. Climbing in the car he fished the keys out and started the car, heading back towards Sadie’s house. He had a hard time keeping his eyes on the road though as he kept looking over at Sadie, seeing the tears of happiness and past sadness sparkling in her eyes, the moonlight playing off her skin. He continued driving, one hand on the wheel, the other reaching over to brush his fingers up and down her cheek before taking her hand in his as he negotiated a particularly icy stretch of the road.

His eyes were drawn to her exposed legs as they continued driving. He let his hand untangle from hers and drift downwards, touching the soft skin of her thigh lightly. He smiled as he felt her silky skin, desires rising up in him he had nearly given up hope of seeing come to fruition. Many long minutes passed as they drove, Viktor’s hand resting on Sadie’s thigh, brushing his fingers slowly across her flesh. Finally they arrived at her home and hustled inside out of the cold, Viktor shivering as he closed the door against the outside world.

Finally they had made it back to her place and Sadie practicly ran into the house. She was freezing, her dress doing nothing to help keep her warm. ALthough in the car Viktor had made her feel just that. She walked into the living room deciding to turn up the heat before turning on one of the lights. She wasn't sure how the night was going to go. Sadie wanted Viktor to stay and spend it with her but she could have been reading into them too much. She had a little tendency to do that.

Watching she saw him close the door and lock it. Looked like he had no plans of leaving. That made Sadie happy, she hadn't wanted him to leave. Walking over to him she took his coat and laid it on the couch. Holding it to her nose she took in his smell before putting it down. He always smelled perfect she thought.

"Would you like something to drink?"

She was so nervous. Her fingers not knowing what to do, they tangled themselves together infront of her. Sadie had dreamt of this moment for so long and yet somehow she thought she would be inadequet. Viktor had been with beautiful women, she paled in comparison. No model looks on her she had always thought, even her last boyfriend had told her that. It kind of stuck with her.

She smiled up as Viktor walked toward her taking her hands in his. He had such a way of calming her. Sadie let out a deep breath she hadn't known she was holding. There was a chill of another kind coming over her and it had nothing to with being cold, of that Sadie was near certain.
