Lit's Official When did you get here and how did you find it thread.

With all these new people coming in and introducing themselves i thought this would be an approriate thread. I know alot of you have been here a long time. Many of you were here back before the layout of the board was changed and all the registration dates were changed. I would just like people to post about when it was you first registered for the board and how you found Lit. If you want you can say when or if you registered for the chat part of lit and just a brief description of what you did when you got here.


I don't think a thread like this has been done before. I remember a thread a long time ago when people were dicussing who had been here longest. Thats the closest thread to this i can think of.


I will start off. I first found lit my fall semester freshman year of college. That was in 1998. I lurked for a while reading the stories and the board. This was back when the board was in a different format all together. I think I originaly registered in Dec of 98 but it might have been in Jan of 99 not sure which one. I registered for chat before i registered for the board that i am sure of. I distinctly remember chating on lit back in Nov. or Oct. of 98 under the Azwed name.


I found lit by seeing a banner ad either at www.thehun.net or one of the pages he links too. Like I said up top i read the stories first then moved onto chat and the board. In fact one of the first stories I read was DCL's Educating Pati. If anyone has not read that story i recomend you do since it is excellent.


Anyway just thought this would be neat to see how long people had been here and how they found this great place.

I got tired of seeing all the same pictures on all the porn sites. Started looking at story sites. Linked to this one from "Allme" and liked it. Read stories for several months then sent one to Weird Harold for critique. He tore it to shreds. I re-read it with his comments, decided he was right. Lurked the board while writing another story. Posted it under mature. Still lurking the board, but posting when I feel I have something to say.

On September 16, 2001 in the United States of America, one would think that people would have better things to do than attack authors for writing stories featuring consenting 18-year-old characters. The war on drugs, porn, prostitution, and any other victimless crime seems pretty fucking trivial in light of recent events. Regardless of your political views, I think most of us would agree that government resources would be better spent on worrying about real crimes rather than manufactured ones.

AJ - Your accusations are beyond ridiculous. You simply lie in order to push some distorted political agenda. If you really want to make America better and save it from this horrible "liberal" nightmare, why don't you go join the army or the fire department or the peace corps or do something else where you can make a positive difference, rather than throwing around baseless insults on an adult bulletin board?

You know that you're welcome here, but I will simply not allow slander or libel against other board members. If someone called you a rapist, I would offer you the same protection. If you want to call Dixon an asshole, be my guest. That's your opinion, not a false criminal accusation.

Doubtful Laurel real doubtful. It makes me wonder if AJ can post anything constructive. He called my economics thread a "dumbass idea." Thats not how you have a intelligent structured debate. Even after I called him on it and he posted something that was halfway constructive and i found some what useful he had to say how dumb the idea was. It helped me see the issue more from his side which is what I try to do with all issues. If you are so close minded you can't see the other side of the issue how can you argue agianst it I have always seen economics more from the demand side then the supply. Thats just the way I view it. Not that the supply side is not important I just work more from the demand side.


Ok well now that is done I challenge AJ to post something constructive that does not have the word "liberal" in it or any phrase saying "liberal problem" or "too liberal"


Anyone want to place bets on whether he can do it or not?????

I was looking for fetish stories and followed a link here from about.com. I read the stories for about a month before I discovered the BB. It seemed like such a fun, quirky place. I lurked for about 2 weeks, learning the culture, trying to decide whether or not to join. Then I checked out the SRP board and read a few of the threads there. That was the deciding factor for me.
