Life is a lot like this thread. A topic gets out there and based in interpretation, the thread starts its daily wandering. He action predicated upon the previous action. At the end of the day the final thread is typically far removed from the original topic. And that's how life should be, no one really wants it totally prescribed.
So today is a challenge rather than a question. Do something that isn't typical for you and enjoy the path it takes you down. Then, of course, report back and tell us all about it...
Perhaps I am one of the rare individuals that doesn’t mind a lot of consistency in my life. I had an idea of something that I could do, atypical for me, and I just could not do it. So much for self control. I still have a way to go. Suffice it to say, mission failed.
Maybe after I learn Bach's Cello Suite No 1 I'll do a concert.![]()
Good choice of music. This brings to mind Jason Becker's Bach solo in Air. (hint hint)
Speaking of being consistent, this may sound negative, but there is a whole lot of veiled encouragement here. Why not stick to your passion? What you know you’re good at? And keep playing your ass off on the guitar? How do you think Mayer, Clapton, Vaughan, Johnson, Page, Hendrix, and the list goes on and on… how do you think they got to be as good as they are/were? They didn’t stop in mid stream and start playing the cello, just sayin’. *hugs*
I saw a video on FB yesterday of Vaughan playing "The Sky is Crying" in a club when he was very young, before stardom, back when he was just Stevie Vaughan. My God, it was intoxicating, truly priceless to watch.
