Double Standards- I think we all perpetuate them at times. As this forum's most progressive poster, I try my best to eliminate that shit. I even support the right of women to vote and be CEOs But... Sometimes you other people perpetuate these kind of things and I'm here to talk about it today.

If a guy gets a dozen random blowjobs, he's considered a hero by his mates. Yesterday was quite the discussion. It started with double standards and moved to some really deep discussions on rape and assault and all that. Lots of different opinions and everything came forth. It was rather nice, as Suz said, to see people expressing multiple opinions without the shouting matches. Thank you all.

It became very obvious that we all have some really intense memories from things, good and bad. Let's talk about that- memories. Memories can be so vivid. So real. They can be randomly and involuntarily accessed, completely changing our mood from one end of the spectrum to the other. A couple of days ago, I mentioned the good old days... Nostalgia has a lot of power. A melody or a smell or a sound can bring back memories, without our consent.

We value nostalgia. It's the reason why Star Wars is so big. Lord knows if that original movie came out today, it wouldn't be anything special. But we hang on to those things from our childhood or from a simpler time which such affection.

The same goes with negative feelings. It's not so much nostalgia there. More like triggers. A certain house or a certain time of the year or anniversaries... These things can bring chills down your spine or tears to your eyes.

What triggers memories, good or bad, for you? A certain location? A certain smell? A sound? A song?
