I have been infatuated with a few people here for quite some time. So I think it depends on the nature of the infatuation and if you have a need for it to be something more. If you do not need it to be more, I think it can last longer.

A few people? Fuck. Them.

IndieSoul mentioned wolves in sheep's clothing. I am pretty sure she is talking about Saint PLP. More generically, I suspect she means one of those shitty people who pretends to be good rather than a wolf with a stylish cashmere blazer. (I know cashmere comes from goats, fuckers)

We all know these people exist here. Some of them are people with good intentions who turn out to do shitty things. Some of them are people who are just bad people. They come and they manipulate men or women here simply for the sake of their own gratification. They treat people like soulless objects. They're cruel. Sometimes it comes out in the open and people get threads made about them. As a bystander, I love watching those trainwrecks. But if you're one of the parties involved it probably sucks.

The question is this... How quickly do you think you can spot a wolf? Is it your initial instinct? Do you trust initially until they prove themselves shitty? Or do you have walls up first, then crack the door open ever so slowly? How do you protect yourselves from the wolves among us?

"As a child I never realized all the real monsters in the world would be humans."

Of course I'm not talking about you, boo. But this quote resonates with me. I'll come back later and answer the question.

The sad reality is that the actual monsters in this world really are human.

Can it be? The Stickman posting in Littiquette?

Wow. Pop in to get some information and post a complete freak out and blast from the past. Complete with AV!

Errr…what is going on with that thing? It seems…a little bland? No color, and the figure seems a little lacking in stature. I hope this doesn’t indicate a loss in the patented Pmann pizazz….

Errr, since I'm here I guess I should pay the question toll.

Wolves. Are we talking regular wolves or werewolves? :p

As far as the question goes, I'm pretty reserved. In all my time on Lit I've only gotten to know…four people well. At least, well enough to exchange real life contact information. Of those, only three were close enough to share much in the way of intimate details of our personal lives.

As far as actually meeting up, there's only been one.

I've never shared a pic of my face online.

Like I said, kinda reserved. Protects me to a certain extent. ;)

Bland?!? Fuck that It's a classy filter, dammit. That's why the colour scheme is a bit darker. I've returned, a little wiser. A little less bright (my avatar, not my wit).

I assure you that I'm every bit as enjoyable as I was before. Papa C was just telling me how much he missed me and noticed the second I left how things went to shit here. And how much he appreciates me coming back.

So that shit was kind of deep. Well, I'm going to go even deeper. We've all experienced sorrow, here or otherwise.

What do you do when you find out you've been played or you just get your heart broken? What's your go to activity? Is it music? Is it a specific song? Is it poetry? Sad, shitty movies? Happy, Meg Ryan movies? Stupid, unoriginal Tyler Perry movies? Ice cream? Whoring about town?

I want to know how you cope. And if it's a song, do post it. I wanna listen.

I listen to miserable music. I also clean cupboards out. Though I’ve completely done a KonMari on my home so there’s nothing left. I’ll be in deep trouble next time I’m in crisis.

Hahaha. The cupboards. Yes yes. You should've left one dirty cupboard so you could just clean that shit out whenever you're stressed.

Feel free to share a shitty song.

Well I don’t want you to be miserable but you’re welcome to pop over to my place and clean out cupboards if you’re in crisis.

I’m happy to report my life is full of love. There is no crisis on the horizon that I can imagine. I’m more than happy to come clean your cupboards though, beautiful.

Well I am pleased to hear that.
But geez I hate cleaning cupboards out.
You know what though, if I knew you were coming to do it I’d get in and do it before you got here. Can’t have you seeing my mess. Lol
I think I’m the type to clean before the cleaner arrives.🙄

I hate the way you love me - John Paul White

There will be no dirt in this house! No excess shit laying about either.

I’ll have to clean the neighbour’s cupboards.

I'm pretty sure I had a cabinet named after me some years back.

Because if you could then everything would instantly become boring. The chase is what makes things fun, not knowing if you can or will accomplish your goals. And then, if you do, you feel incredible. If you could have everything you ever wanted you'd lose interest in everything very quickly.

Good wine, good (but bad for me) food and sad songs. And weed. 🌲

Because if you did, YOU would be arrested. ;)

You're not supposed to smoke Christmas trees. Even my non weed smoking ass knows that.

Also... This is what I listen to when I'm sad. I mean, is there any song more tragic? (No)

If you don't get moved by that song then you are a soulless robot. Papa C, you are excused from this exercise.

Well, it’s a moralistic song by hedonists who did all the drugs and had all the sex, so I’m not sure how serious we should take it. :)

But...

Unless you’re a Buddha, you’ve probably wanted some things that weren’t the best thing for you in the long run. I know I have.

However, I’ve always ended up with what I needed. I’m at peace with that.
