I'm a fan of a motivational quotes. There are days when I need a swift kick in the butt of motivation or attitude change.

It's an endless list of quotes and motivational bliss out there. But what quote or saying do people spout out that seems complete whacked BS? Or are they to generic and can be paired with anything relevant?

I'm not a huge fan of inspirational quotes. I'm also not a fan of Pinterest. I feel that people get the same psychological response from looking at pictures of stuff (such as cleaning, etc) as they do from actually doing it. I'd rather do it. I think they're very similar.

-little birdies in their nest agree

^all designed to perpetuate a family culture of perfectionism, enabling bad behavior, and covering up dysfunction.

I'm big on certain aphorisms though. And I like to add F-Bombs to certain sayings. For flair. Makes me feel more emphatic. Like "This Too Shall Fucking Pass" and "One Fucking Day At a Time."'

I don't know where I'd be without my 12-step-o-logical-isms. Progress Not Perfection, Live And Let Live, Let Go And Let God...

But outside of that culture-- one of my favorite quotes, by far...
