Why are we so prone to hoaxes. Do we want to believe something so much that we suspend rational thinking? Or are the cynics wrong and there's more out there to believe than we give credence to?

I'm always fascinated by things like Urban Legends and UFOs and female orgasms. I don't really believe in them. But I'm mesmerized by how some of these things spread. And then there are the things that make you just scratch your head. Most all of them have logical explanations. But not all. Some are very spooky

In any event, I love the stories. I don't believe most of the hype. But I do enjoy a good read on them or even a YouTube video.
