A little flare never hurts. It's not enough to just do things. If you want to stand out - then add a little style.

(Behind it is the psychology of memory - think back to the last time you interacted with someone. Who do you remember - the barista who just brought you your coffee and plonked it down, or the barista who brought it to you while dancing?)

Exactly. Why settle for Mundania when you can live in Xanth?

*Book reference.

And an excellent book reference at that!

A friend of mine says the secret to living an enjoyable life is to live it as if you were slightly larger than life.

Me *fucking*eow
Just seemed like the place needed a little flair yesterday.

Speakimg of flair, is it really worth the extra effort? The effort can be appreciated but sometimes the value of flair is lost on me, like its compensating for the lack of something elsewhere. (Insert red sports car joke here)

Is it better to focus on the task at hand and add value that way or does a little flair never hurt?
Flare is worth it if it makes you feel good ..if it disguises some lack of (cofidence, effort, etc) then no.
Will today be the day?
One can always hope.

Today is the day to affirm that this room prefers more specific topics than the the vague, philosophical ones.

And here I was, just coming on to say that yes, from the existential point of view, today is/was the day.

C'est la vie.

Few actually will admit to seeking attention. But in some shape or form, it's why we're all here posting. If no one ever replied to a post or answered a PM of yours, how long would you stick around?

It was at least six months before anyone responded to anything I posted on the threads. Maybe longer.

I did get a response to the first PM that I ever sent.

So my point is… I'm a fairly patient attention whore.

All depends on the why you are here I would expect.

I actually get very few direct replies to the things I post. It doesn't stop me from posting. I guess I'm just too amused by my own ramblings.

Welp, I've been hear for 8 years now on and off, so at least that.

Hard to get attention when I'm almost never around. My life is pretty full with wife, two kids, and now two jobs. Hell, carving out 15 minutes for this on an early Sunday morning was tricky. lol

Notice me now damn it!!!! :D:p
