Quick hitter this morning: what percentage of your posts are just to be active in the threadsphere vs posts because you have a thought to share?
There's no method to my madness. Do I really have to try and quantify it?

I venture into the games threads when I'm bored, but that's more to entertain myself than to be 'active'. If something sparks my interest in a thread, I will post there, otherwise I tend to linger around the fringes of conversations and wait until I have something worthwhile to add (just like in RL). Most of my in-depth conversations (varying degrees of seriousness and sanity) happen in PMs

I never cared about "activity in the threadsphere." However, not every post is serious thoughts I want to share. Sometimes I like to post hoping it will bring a smile to someones face...

0% threadsphere
60% TTBF
40% poignant thoughts

I haven't posted much on Lit in a long while. Thank you to those whom PMed that I have been missed.

Sometimes I pop on to Lit intending to flit around the threads and post but then I don't find enough to engage me to do so. Or I post something detailed and the thread dies a little death.

This is my go-to thread on Lit, although recently I'm more of a lurker than a poster here. I come to this thread because it's reliably insightful or entertaining and at its best, it's both. Sometimes I have something to share but decide my post would be too personal or serious, or repetitious. And there is always a risk that by the time I post, the substance of the theme modifies away from my thoughts and now it would be awkwardly juxtaposed with a typically jocose contribution from Pmann or another brilliant post from Suz_anne, as evidenced above.

So, when I post, my posts tend to be because I have something to share. It's not much, but there it is.

Hey... I missed you! I might even have said so. :D

Probably only 10% or less. When I post, it's usually because I'm feeling the need to share something, whether serious or flippant. I've occasionally posted in the games threads, but that's more as an attempt just to say "Boo!" to the others there rather than with any substantial intent.

Depends on my mood and how much I'm multitasking at the moment.
Sometimes I'm flirty and dancing around the boards, other times I'm quiet and reading the thoughts of others.

Bitesback-- I noticed your absence also. :rose:

Key working was "everything you wanted" which incorporates a change in tastes down the road. Essentially the question is "what if you had no wants"

What if.....You got everything you wanted, would you be satisfied?

The key word missing is 'always'.

If I always got everything I wanted I would not be living a satisfactory life. I want to learn from my mistakes, gain strength through facing difficulties, be persistent in my efforts to achieve things and fight or strive for things I want.

It's nice to have the support of others in our lives but I don't want to look to someone else to be always making things right. It's good to know I can depend upon people close to me but I don't wish to be dependent upon them.

And if I had all the material things for which I could wish, where would be the joy in finally saving enough money to purchase them for myself? How would I learn the value of anything?

If I didn't ever have any wants, I would risk living a life without passion. Should that happen, I would not be satisfied for life would be unbearable. Ok, I'm sure I could have some fun, but I hope to live a long life with swings and roundabouts and finding peace and joy in unexpected places.

PS***thank you to those who noted my resumption on Lit.

It's an absurd question. And I sort of feel like the type that is never satisfied. But...lets go with yeah. I'd finally be satisfied.

No. That's my style. I complain and then don't offer any alternatives. It's a treat being married to me. Ask all my ex husbands.

"To all the men you've loved before...Who've traveled in and out your door.....You're glad they came along......you dedicate this song.....to all the men you've loved before...."

Nope, you don't get off that easy, (well maybe you do, but that's a topic for another day) you have about 18hrs to come up with a non-absurd topic, otherwise the silence of the thread for 24 hours will rest heavy on your soul.

You could've just spanked her.

You could've just spanked her.
ChainedUp has set EM a task, and he now patiently awaits to see if she will comply. If punishment is required, I'm sure a spanking is among his favoured options.

We shall wait and see if EM will satisfy Chained's request with a question or will she have Chained to answer to?
