Ebb and flow, there certainly is a bit of that here. And always interesting to watch.

When you are out in public and you see a couple pushing the boundaries of affection, where it seems something a little more is about to happen, are you the type that watches to see it, or do you turn and give them their semi-privacy. Would it matter if you knew they saw you watching? Would you be turned on or embarassed if they gave you a little show? Is it PDA when they are practically having sex or is it just a kink?
I like affection and I like seeing people being affectionate, as long as it's mutual, not obviously one forcing the PDA upon the other. Or being a love sick puppy to a cold fish...

I think people in loving relationships should be able to show affection towards one another without people getting embarrassed. If it's intimate contact, then keep that to yourselves. If it's a kink, share it with those who know and want to share it with you. But open affection by one couple might spur others to be more expressive, if only momentarily. Love makes the world go round...

Back when my kids were very young, feeling tired and needing them to expend some energy, we went to the local gardens and visited the playground by the lake. It's a popular picnic spot and there were plenty of people enjoying the beautiful day. I glanced and saw just a short distance away a young couple sitting together on the lawn and being quite affectionate. Talking, touching...long embraces, lingering kisses... It was sweet. A little while later I noticed that they were now under their picnic blanket and positioned such that the under blanket action was obvious, if you were looking.

At first I was shocked that they'd be engaging in sex out in the middle of the park in the late afternoon. I thought about reporting it to the police station, which was just across the road. How dare they do that in public? Think of the children!

I watched for a minute more, his very slow rhythmic movements leaving no doubt in my mind what she was experiencing. I wasn't turned on or embarrassed. I actually felt a little wistful and wished I could feel what it is like to be young and newly in love again, that rush of intense desire... And I remembered having no where to go, too. It was Spring...they got away with it...good luck to them.

No super deep thought today. Tell us your favorite part of spring. I woke up to over an inch of snow on the ground, Spring is being an elusive bitch this yesr. Remind me what is waiting under the snow.

Same here..last week it was t shirt weather. This week there was snow and it was so cold.
My favourite part is feeling the heat on my skin, the birds in the morning, the smell!
As a mom I appreciate being able to kick everyone out the door without 800 layers of crap in the morning.

Grass. Tulips and daffodils and crocus all coming to life. The buds about to open on my lilac bushes. It's been cold and windy here. I'm hoping at some point spring kicks in, I don't really want to jump from winter to summer. I need the wind up :D

When the landscape people were designing the garden that wraps around my house, I only had two requests. I wanted a Corkscrew Hazel because my parents had one and I wanted a weeping cherry (with pink blossoms) because they make me happy. Anyway, I have the weeping cherry outside my bedroom window and it is covered in pink buds. It's my reminder (through all this snow!) that spring is around the corner.
That doesn't really help your search for spring.. unless you're in my bedroom.. and then the little pink buds you're looking at might be totally different..
I also like spring dresses with pockets, sharing coffee while sitting at little bistro tables outside, and that funny way that outdoor sounds just become more bountiful.

Think your version of pink buds just might be better than spring.:

In the trellis on the front porch, sparrows built a nest. For the last few years, a dove has taken up residence in the nest, and we have dubbed her "Mrs. Dove". I don't know if it is the same dove, but having Mrs. Dove, and her babies right outside the door makes me happy. This morning when I came home, Mrs. Dove was gone, and the porch is covered in feathers....I don't know if one of the neighborhood cats got her or what happened. :(

Hopefully, I will see a new Mrs. Dove in the nest, to carry on the tradition....

My favorite thing about spring is that it signals the end of winter. I'm not a winter person at all. Next weekend I get to drive out and open the beach house, air it out and get it cleaned up for the season. While it's still chilly, I can walk on the beach for miles. Just me and the gulls. Not another soul. So very peaceful before the bustle of summer.

The sound of chaffinches outside the window. :)

Getting the golf clubs out and thinking this is the year that I will have a single digit handicap

Cut off jeans, tank tops, flip flops, green appearing overnight it seems on trees and bushes, flowers blooming, new critters being born on the farm, working the land and waiting for the garden to come to life. I love Spring.

PDA to me is just the kissing and hugging and that's the sweet thing to watch. The idea that you don't care who watches while you kiss the one you are with is a very cool feeling in my eyes.
Having sex in public, as hot as it could be, is not the same in my mind as PDA.

Not to sound like the grumpy old man, but the roads being easier to navigate. Spring isn't my favorite season, but I do like the better weather and the growth.

I agree with Ruby about the smell of spring. That scent of the earth thawing is one of my favorite things. I often find myself stopping as I step outside in the early morning and take a deep breath… enjoying that scent and the sound of the birds twittering as they wake up. Love that.

Ohhhhhh, and lilacs. They are my favorite and are here for such a short time.

hey, I like lilacs too.....finally, something in common :D

:D

And I forgot the shoes! Being able to switch over to wearing strappy, sexy cute shoes after spending 90% of the last 6 months in boots and socks.

Pedicures! It is hard to justify $50 pedis when you live in boots in the winter. :D

Peaks my head from the closet, ok, deep breath-- I have never had a pedicure. Lots of manicures. Just never on the toes.

Favorite part of Spring-- tulips, the noisy cardinals in my backyard/neighborhood looking for a cute mate and more daylight!

Sorry about the snow Chained. Spring came early this year. And it's delightful. ;)

Spring - what the fuck is that? It snowed in Indiana yesterday and next week it will probably be like 80 degrees.

But I like the smell of rain in the spring - everything so fresh and new. You know, those two days of Indiana weather that qualify as spring.

How good are your sex manners? When you are done, are you truly done? Or are you only done once your partner is also done. Maybe you're just too sensitive for any more. Maybe you're just too drained? Is it selfish to be done?

It's selfish to grunt and roll over. There are many ways to be done nicely. A few words...a snuggle..a slap on the ass...a kiss...etc.,etc.
I'm editing this to add...I lived in a relationship for 10 years where I was only 'visble' between the sheets. And once he was done..He was 'done'. Eventually I was 'done' with him. Maybe I have too much baggage for this question. Lol

I know what works for me, so I'm generally done a few times before my partner is done. I don't give in until he gets there. Once he's done, then I'm truly done.

There is done and there is done.

If one is done and needs a little time to catch one's breath before one is able to cuddle/kiss/say goodnight/get or give a second helping that is no problem. It is nice to lie beside someone "done" knowing you had quite something to do with getting him/her in that state.

If I am truly done I say so. I then need a drink of water and a nap, or at least a little time to doze. I don't think that is selfish. I am happy to grant someone else this too.

Too long and too often though I was lying beside someone snoring almost immediately after he was done. I got a halfheartedly rub over my back and often had to help myself to the finish. If at that time I was still feeling I wanted to finish.

It's been a long time since I've had a partner where done is done. I think the general view when I'm in a relationship is "let's get lunch and get back to this later." Later might not be until a week later, but there's that tension. I think it helps if you like to snuggle curled around each other, fingertips touching until you drift asleep.
