there's too much gossip about me in actuality.....no need for it in the virtual realm.

Not true! You have to hit the ball about 30 or 40 times before a special needs kid knows to chase it.

Lance chases every ball we throw him.

He's more like an inbread dog that's run into too many glass doors.

lol. ! that was good. :)

I hear badass actually has a nice ass... and it's not red.

Well, that's not really gossip b/c it's true. So, who's your one step up man?

He's a bit of a worm actually. Showed up, made me laugh, made me melt and is currently worming his way into my heart. Cute guy with a sexy English accent.

LOL...

I was thinking more along the lines of setting the ball on the tee and the special needs kid swings and misses.

So you set the ball on the tee again and you give the kid a few tips on his swing and he swings and misses again.

So you set the ball back up on the tee and then you help the kid with his swing. Maybe he hits the ball this time and it rolls out toward the pitcher's mound... It doesn't seem like much to anyone else, but the kid gets very excited and claps his hands and has a big old grin on his face.

That's Lancie sitting there giggling and clapping and smiling cause he finally hit the ball we set on the tee for him 3 months ago.

Good to see Lancie bringing back the Mole line too. There's a whole group of newbies who haven't seen that schtick from him yet.

For all I know the Mole might be You...or DCL...but for what it's worth, the story goes back a fair distance...to a Lit woman who's heart you broke years ago here when you threw her over for another.

Obviously, I have no way of knowing if it's a true story...but it's quite a detailed one and comes far enough forward to include Sunstruck's hotmail addy and lots of titbits in between.

So, if you guys have gone to that much trouble to draw me into a fake story about yourselves...you've really taken a lot of time with it.

Or there's a lurker out there who's been registered since the beginning who simply doesn't like you.

Timay!

Bah.

This coming from someone expecting Cujo to hold the fort.

Maybe he'll retire this year so he won't have to keep explaining his disappointments.

Sorry... I'll stop there, I see you're basking in fantasy.

;)

That reminds me of the time Joseph defended the net for St. Louis in the playoffs against Toronto.

Talk about not having a team in front of him, it looked like something out of the All-Star skills competition! Best goalkeeping I've ever seen.

Eleven years later and he's still won nothing... except that gold medal he got while sitting on the bench.

Glad he one that one.

Interesting point. I know more about baseball than hockey, but I haven't followed either for a few years.

Being a Pittsburgh fan, we used to talk about the great & the almost great.

Sportscaster Howard Cossell used to say that the hallmark of a poor team was losing a lot of one-run games, because it showed they lacked heart when the game was still in reach.

In comparissons of the great Roberto Clemente, & the talented Barry Bonds, we had to credit Clemente for being better, because he always raised the level of his performance in the post-season, and it made the difference.

Consistency can take a team to the playoffs, but it takes something more to win a championship.

I hear tell that Minx is much in the same boat as me lately. :)

Darkthought, don't tell that Yank RosevilleCAGuy this, but I'm not holding out a lot of hope for Wings with him in net. They've got a great team, but he sucks donkey balls come playoff time.

He sees you when your posting,

He knows when you're awake.............

:D

Lance, my hotmail addy was available here at Lit for almost a year. I only took it down because I was tired of cleaning out spam.

Nice try though. Really.
