Since Lit. keeps growing in leaps and bounds, I thought everyone might like a refresher course in some of the features available on the registered user's control panel.


IGNORE= You wanna know how to silence the people you don't like on Lit.? It's easy, with this simple feature you don't have to hear from assholes, homophobes, BDSM freakazoids, Black people, whatever you don't like.....I use this feature in real life a lot.

SIGNATURE OFF= It's bad enough to confront insipid poetry once, but every time you read a post by the offender? It's like having a friend that says the same putrid shit everytime you meet and greet, with new info thrown in in-between. I turn this one off and on, depending on my mood and if I have sig. (I try not to be a hypocrite).

AV OFF= I've never used this one before, but if you want to invoke the "mysteries" of not seeing a real face behind those words or in the case of Modest Mouse, some very grungy homo sex, this one is for you. Have fun.

SELF CONTROL= If you know you don't like a certain topic and don't want to discuss a topic, just don't open the thread and click somewhere else. It's easy. I really like this option.

Colors was mentioned as a feature to be used. However, using colored type upsets people and if you use it people object.

The reason using colors is a problem is because one of the regulars has epilepsy and the colors can cause seizures in certain combinations. It's not a high probability, I don't think, but the risk is there. So, better safe than sorry.

She can put you on ignore if using colors is that important to you.
