The idea: it’s like a book club, but instead a story club, one member selects a story and we all have to read it by a given time. Then we meet, maybe in a chatroom, or maybe on a message board, and share our thoughts, ideas about the story … did the story make us so hot that we had to get out the lotion/vibrator, or was the story so off-putting that we now couldn’t even finish.

About me: I’m 33/M, in graduate school, and am very creative. I love to read and write erotic fiction. I love to IM and cyber, and share hot, sensual e-mails.

How to Join: This concept is at its infancy, so if you are interested, drop me a PM and I’ll give you my e-mail and we can discuss the idea and how to make it happen. I welcome all ideas and suggestions.

Be Naughty!

The Story Discussion Circle follows the same concept, so that's where you might want to look if you're interested in this sort of thing.

One advantage of the story discussion circle is that it only discusses a story that has been volunteered by the author. This way, an author who might not be a fan of having his/her story critically evaluated will not be offended, and the feedback goes to those that ask for it.

I think it's a great idea. I've posited it a few times in the AH, though in different formats, eg symbolism, themes, style etc.

Having the author's permission is moot. Free site - free for all, if you will.

Though it would be nice to drop them a pm.

SDC is a critique... I think RP is suggesting more of a "book club" sort of discussion. Did you like it? No? Why? Was it thought-provoking? Did it piss you off? Make you hot? Make you want to puke? Whatever... ;)

It's not a bad idea... wish I had the time! Good luck finding participants!
