If there's only five stars you can click on at the end of each submission, then why are they all ranked in the lists like "4.8" or "3.5" or whatever? What the hell does that decimal thing mean?

The ratings are an average of all the votes cast on a story (once there are 10 or more).

So nine votes of 5 plus one vote of 1 = 45 +1 = 46 divided by 10 = a rating of 4.6

A 1 vote has a disproportionately bad effect on the rating.

Eight votes of 5 + 2 votes of 1 = 42 divided by 10 = 4.2 i.e NOT HOT.

You are really butt hurt about your ratings. Who gives a fuck? The stories I wrote which are complete nonsense are the most popular while the stories that are real and authentic are not. People are idiots so why even bother pleasing them. Please yourself.
