Is there something wrong with it? I just got an e-mail I sent out January 18 returned to me...all the addys were Literotica mail boxes. And why in the hell did it take so long to send back? *sigh*

Also, I'm supposed to get notification in an alternate mail box, but when I went and checked my box I had over 200 messages...ummm...sorry if you never received a reply to anything you sent me, but that's the reason...I'm working on cleaning it up.

Yes, BigMailbox stinks. Same thing has been happening to me and is making me feel perfectly dreadful for yelling at all my friends for not writing me back! LOL

Like I told one friend recently when I noticed the discrepancy between the date it was sent and received...I could have written it in longhand, carried it when I jumped on the Pony Express pack mule and ridden across country bareback to deliver it in person and made the round trip back home in less time than it was delivered electronically!

So much for the conveniences of modern technology!

The only consolation I can think of is that old expression--you get what you pay for. And it's free...
;)

I have trouble with it, too. It'll go for days with no mail, then all of a sudden, there are 100 messages.

I just got that email you sent out on 1/18 yesterday! Or at least I just got notified yesterday that it was there.
I liked it, by the way. Thanks!

Me? yeah, I know...that's what I'm talking about...I got a "bounce back" saying it couldn't be sent...grrrrrr...I don't send FROM Lit mail, I send from hotmail...wonder if there is a conflict there...

I've been having trouble for weeks... I've gotten mail as late as 2 weeks after it was sent. I've gotten mail returned from literotica addresses I know are good.

I've been telling people who want to mail me to use my hotmail account.

Yeah, unfortunately, a lot of people use Lit addys so they may not be getting mail from people at all..or very late. That is why I don't have my Lit addy in my profile.

Yes... that is a concern. I use my lit addy on my homepage here for feedback since I prefer not to overload my hotmail box with anonymous feedback and messages from people I don't know. I only give my hotmail addy out to people I've gotten to know (or want to get to know)... the lit addy is my choice for feedback and first contact and it does concern me that I may not be getting all the mail that is sent to me.

Hey Laurel - do you have a fix in the works?

Same thing has been happening to me for the past two weeks. Have friends chewing on me because I don't respond to their emails, which I never received.

Emailed Laurel a few days ago, she said she would look into the problem.

Neither rain nor snow nor dark of night...

Ya know, basically, all we are trying to do is send a bunch of 1s and 0s through cyberspace and we keep meeting with failure.

So how is it that a group of folks decided to run a cute little experiment of sending odd and unusual objects through the USPS to see if they would be delivered and...well..read for yourself. This article is a hoot and a half! :)

PS I forgot to ask. Is anyone else as annoyed with those recent pop up ads every time you go to open Litmail as I am? And have you noticed those windows get bigger each time you go in and out?

YES!! Those things are starting to drive me nuts. I understand the need to advertise but those are a bit much.

I'm starting to avoid the Lit. mail and transfering all my mail over to my AOL account. Hate for the box to be full, but rather that than to have all my mail lost.
