The Literotica forum was updated from vBulletin to XenForo on 02/22/2022.

Please use this thread to share your feedback, bug reports, and feature requests. We want to know how we can make the forum work better for you.

If you want to change the look of the forum, there is a style chooser in the footer. The two available styles are Classic Literotica and Modern Literotica. The Modern Literotica style will eventually be getting a dark mode to go along with the full Literotica site dark mode that we've already been working on.

Thank you for all of your feedback in advance. :D

Formatting is too spaced out. Is this a move to mobile friendly at the detriment to desktop access?
Search is wonky.
Can't delete posts?

Looks and works great so far on mobile. Great job!

Am I correct that the thread subscriptions are gone?

Am I correct that you can no longer automatically show the most recent thread content at the top?

Thread subscriptions should still be there, they are called "Watched Threads"

You can view the most recent posts in a forum by using the "Filters" option to select how you would like the threads sorted. The pinned threads remain at the top, but the sort should start just below the pinned items.

I seem to have lost access to my forum account, which was separate from my chat account.

Forum account is "HoneyMeadows" but apparently my password doesn't work anymore?? I changed my email address and I'm not getting an option for reset password and I'm not sure which email it will go to? To say I'm disappointed is an understatement!

XF is fine and it's becoming the common platform across the web. Biggest issue is the lack of a heads up. No notice, it just flat went dark.

Issue I have is I am no longer able to persistently collapse unneeded forums like foreign language forum sub-sections.

Still can't edit Profiles, unless the Story side one carries over here now?

XF has the ability to Hide/Ignore forum sections, but I don't see it as an option here. Yet.

Yes, you should be able to update your profile fields via the main site Control Panel. The goal is to have one place to update data. Followers are not yet merged, but they will be eventually too.

I believe you're the one who posted about XenForo right as we were getting ready to launch the update, so you know that yes, there are addons that allow the hiding of forums. That is something on our list to test once we get the core functionality working.

OK. I'm not concerned with followers, but people here have been complaining for years about the edit profile as far as location, personal details and so on.

The privacy option no longer/isn't working. Online and activity is visible like it or not.

Yes. I've clicked the privacy options on and off.
Sorry about that. There is a cache, so it might take a couple of minutes, but it should be working. Can you test it and then wait 5 minutes and see if you go invisible? If not, can you post a link to the exact page where you are seeing yourself online when you have selected to not show your status? I just did some testing and it seemed to work as expected, but you could be looking at a different page.

If you're using Desktop mode on a mobile device, it's not *completely* different that the old format. There are major differences, but they are navigable and somwwhat intuitive.

The Mobile page interface is a mess. Confusing, even for someone relatively tech-savvy, and borderline non-navigable in terms of posting, finding threads, and interaction. Plus, I've been having text box glitches even within posts while typing.

The mobile interface, which is going to be the bulk of user's experience, is a massive step down.

That being said, we have as a community, been hoping for an update to more modern platform. Most of us will adjust. 😊
Thanks for that info, we'll work on the mobile view more in the coming days. You're right that mobile is the way that the majority of Lit users visit these days, so it's important and we want to get it working well. :)

If you're able to reproduce that text box glitch, please send me more information too, as I can try to track that down.

Wow. One thing I notice in that last post is that quoted images aren't displayed. That's been a major bitch of mine for years, so should be a BIG help here on the picture threads where people quote and requote the same things.

1. The list of who is currently online is always of great interest to me and I'm sure many others, but now it is compressed and truncated at the bottom of the page, half of which is wasted with statistics that no one cares about and a completely empty section. To see the complete list of who is online I have to scroll through 33 pages? Seriously? This is idiotic. A massive mistake. This really needs to be fixed. Get rid of the useless two boxes at the bottom right and allow the entire online list (minus guests--who cares about them?) to be visible without having to scroll--just like it used to be.

2. It seems like my and maybe many passwords are messed up. My computer always autofilled an old password that no longer worked. That was not a problem because I would simply type in the current password. Now, when I try to log in, I'm told that what is definitely the correct password is invalid, and if I just go with the old autofilled password, I'm able to sign in.

3. And finally the ONLY thing that actually needed to be fixed was the ability to create or edit our profiles. This has, inexplicably, been broken for five of six years, and as far as I can tell is STILL broken. I see no way to add to it or edit it. If this problem has not been fixed and many unnecessary changes have been made--for the worse--then it's a real shame that a site that I and many thousands of others enjoy so much has been ruined.

i had my profile set originally not to show photos when opening a post. I am not always alone when viewing and don’t want photos visible by default, I want to be able to click the link to view when I have privacy.

I can’t find this setting now. Is it there or not. This will limit my usage if it’s not.

First glimpse looks very good. You must have put a lot of work in this - thank you very much!
