Literotica Dark Mode BETA, Please Share Your Feedback

What's the intended purpose of "Detect Automatically"?

Detect Automatically doesn't seem to do anything for me

I believe that this is device dependent. So let's say you have a phone and the phone itself is set to Dark Mode, or is set to enter Dark Mode according to time of day.

That's a global setting which apps on the phone can tap into and self-adjust based on the phone's own Dark Mode setting.

I think it's a feature in a browser, too, like say on a computer where the whole device doesn't have a dark mode. The browser itself can have a dark mode setting. Either the browser mode or the device/OS mode can be detected by webpages/websites.

That's probably what Detect Automatically is for.

So if you don't already have Dark Mode set in your OS or on your browser, then the Lit site is going to detect non-dark mode.

Just another request here for full dark mode across the whole site. The bright white pages are a pain late at night, especially after I've been in dark mode, it's like suddenly having a flashlight suddenly shone in my eyes, ugh!

Yes, another vote for dark mode everywhere! Preferably auto-detect (my websites can do it, and my browser exposes the system-wide setting).
I do love the setting for font size with the stories. If the forum could just read those settings that would be awesome.

What happened to the app

I just recently got a new phone and I went to go look for the lit app and it's now where to be found. It used to be on the homepage but I've been unable to find it. I really hope that it's available, because it made reading lit on my phone much better. I was able to put on dark mode and read without having a white screen blasting my face while husband is trying to sleep

The app was taken down some time back because of all the changes being made to the site and its API left the app no longer fully compatible. There are threads about the app here on the tech support forum with people that have versions that work, but you have to trust installing an app from someone you don't know. There is currently no officially supported version of the app.
