Literotica Copyright question

I have two stories posted up here and many more that I wrote.

I'm thinking about gathering them all into a book and have it published on my own, including my stories "Backstage intrusion" and "The Reunion party" posted here.

I understand that I retain all copyright to my material, but it's the "Non-exclusive rights to publish" that makes me wonder if I can do it or not.

If Literotica has non-exclusive rights to publish, does it mean I cannot use my stories elsewhere?

You can put your stories anywhere.

That is fantastic, the ones that I posted here got me great ratings and I still love 'em when I read them so I really wanted to use them.

Thank you very much for the quick reply. This forum never disappoints.

What LC said. Exclusive rights mean nobody else can publish; non-exclusive is the reverse. As far as I know, the only situation where publishing on Lit would prevent you from republishing elsewhere is if the other publisher had an exclusivity-type requirement.

What the non-exclusive means is you can pull you stories here at Lit anytime you want without notice. They are yours to do with as you please.

I would definitely leave them here, I have no intention of pulling them off the site since they have been here for a couple years and I still occasionally receive e-mails from enthusiastic readers.

Of course, if your deal with another publisher for the stories is an exclusive permission use arrangement, you couldn't leave them here. The nonexclusive arrangement is with Literotica, not with anyone else.

with most e publishers one still retains the rights to one's own work. At least on smashwords I do. And few others i have tried.
