I have tried my hand at really literary erotica.

I have just had posted a parody of Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels.

For me it is a short tale being less than one Lit page.

The story is Brobdingnag Chap 01 and is part of Gulliver's Travels that was suppressed because of its content.

You can find it here

This is a new departure for me so I have posted a poll to get a more direct response.

Og

PS. I would like to thank those responsible for adding the italics at the start of the story. The italics help distinguish the intro from the story.

Ogg (and anyone) can read my public post. "5", by my pleasure.

This worked so well I can't help thinking Mr. Swift was hoping you would come along at some later date when the vice laws were relaxed. Your "usual crap" is entertaining, but I think here you may have found a literary niche.

And I disagree slightly with your reader comment, Perdita. I understand why you think it is especially pleasing for a female reader, but I think every man has at some time wished he could do what Ogg's Gulliver did, despite the obvious dangers. I feel deliciously wet and warm from head to toe just thinking about it. Being allowed to sleep off the pain in the billows of madame's bosom was a crowning touch.

Encore!

Ogg - the great ghost writer.

Wow! I think you have a potential literotica masterpiece with this story. I want a copy of the book when you're through.

Thank you for writing it - and of course, don't stop now. I want to know what else happened to Mr. Gulliver. If these chapters cover his other 'activities', you've given him good motives for not working so quickly to get back to England.

-FF (what a great way to help me get better, literature behind the scenes)

Ditto, I say. Ditto. And, don't worry about kissing and telling, because the lady is long dead, anyhow.:D

Thank you all for the vote of confidence.

Mr Swift's second chapter is being edited now.

Og

PS. Then the editor has to tackle the expunged parts in Lilliput. What was it about "big ends and little ends"?

Chapter Two submitted

The unprecedented public response to the first chapter of Lemuel Gulliver's unexpurgated account of his sojourn in Brobdingnag has led to the prompt submission of the second chapter.

It includes anointing with unguent but unfortunately the scents of the ungulants of Brobdingnag are not suitable for mention to this cultured audience. The odours of the hoi polloi are sufficiently nauseous. The scent of the ungulants is beyond the author's limited powers of description. The author is well aware, horresco referens, of the scents but prefers to preserve the memory rather than attempt a description. The ungulants of Lilliput he may attempt to portray at a future date.

The third chapter is currently receiving the attention of the indefatigable editor and will cover the consequences of a failed plot to overthrow their Majesties the rulers of Brobdingnag.

You are the Master!

Fine use of the subject material, no end of possibilities. Looking forward to the next installment.

Dear Og,
How interesting. The Dubious Dictionary featured the word "brobdingnagian" today.
MG
Ps. I still say Wills AV looks like used pizza.

Funny, over here, we refer to vomiting as "laying a pizza".

Excellent work, Ogg.

One wonders what a treasure you have come across, Ogg? It would seem likely that there could also be some arousing chapters from other classic works created during those past, supressive regimes. Davoe, Stevenson, and maybe even Samuel Clements may have similarly stashed some of their more inspired chapters. I suppose that one can only await their future discovery.

I just happen to have purchased for my shop an old chest full of manuscripts. I will scrabble among them to see what I can find although editing Swift is occupying me at the moment. Chapter 3 has just been added to the submissions.

I did attempt a pastiche of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales but found that Chaucer had done the 'dirty' bits much more effectively.

In Chap 01 of The Worst Chain Story Ever I parodied Longfellow so if there is any blame attached to me for these literary atrocities I can claim that Svenskaflicka started me on this career of assassinating classical authors' reputations.

Samuel L Clemens' manuscripts are more likely to be discovered by someone resident in the USA.

Chapter Four is now submitted for the perusal of the esteemed proprietors of this establishment. How long will this chronicle continue...?

Chapters Two, Three and Four are now awaiting posting.

I will forbear from asking MG the question. She states that she is in a "snit" and I fear that her response might be unladylike.

I have to end Gulliver soon. He is affecting all my writing.

Dear Og,
I'm over it. You can ask, if you wish. I'll have you know that I'm ladylike at all times.
MG

I am glad to hear that MG is over her 'snit'.

I appreciate her presence and invaluable advice.

So ... how long before my three chapters are posted, please, Lady MG?

Lilliput - Ladies' Day

I have just submitted the episode expunged from the published account of Gulliver's stay in Lilliput.

It provides a much more reasonable explanation for the Empress's abhorrence of Gulliver than is apparent from the expurgated version previously available to the general public.

It is the only episode removed from the Lilliput account. More is to come from Brobdingnag.

Og (editor for Jonathan Swift)

Three - and one and only

I have three chapters of Gulliver's travels in Brobdingnag pending and the one and only chapter expunged from his travels in Lilliput is also pending.

The editor is inclined to let things rest until these four chapters are posted and the public brickbats start.

There is more to come from Brobdingnag but I think I will keep back the later travels for another time. They are not so well known i.e. 'Who has ever heard of Yahoos?'

Og

PS. MathGirl. What is the answer to The Question please? And I don't mean 42.

Why are you asking MG how long until something posts? Is she the one who decides it?

Ahh...the innocence and naivety (or is that stupidity) of youth.....seems so long ago....

Re-enrolling in LIT 400

In agreement with the others. You have definitely captured his voice and lit class would have been so much more enjoyable had your version been included in the studies of Gulliver's Travels.

Hola, Ann. That's a gorgeous and erotic image, love the nipple.

Welcome, Ann. I like the eyes.

Part Two of Gulliver's unexpurgated travels in Brobdingnag is now posted. See link in my signature line.

Parts 3 and 4 still pending as is Lilliput.
