Do you ever get "writer's block" when on the forums?

I have it.

I am here, read some great discussions and may even start to reply, but for some reason, I hit the back button. I can't seem to tie up the reply or I read it and it doesn't make sense.

Hmmmmmm:confused:

So, anyway, I am here, reading and lurking, but not posting a lot.

Hi everyone!

:rose:

Hiya MissT! :rose:

That happens to me all the time honestly.

So is there a cure???? ;)

I have had that malady for months at a time. Then suddenly one day, i'm posting all over the place again.

This happens to me also. Although I admit it happens to me dramatically when it hits.. I can't seem to communicate at all, not just posting, but conversation, etc.. I begin to answer and then I just lose interest or confidence in what I am saying, or a million other feelings I can't even describe. It always passes, but while it is happening I feel more vulnerable than I can describe because of the lack of ability to articulate. Can be scary at times.

Prunes? Or a good dose of Master Mayberry? ;)

LOL, Very funny.... I hate prunes and Master Mayberry hasn't spoken to me since I missed the last payment on his condo!

Well, in all seriousness... I find being silly, just letting lose and posting any old crap is good for this! Let your hair down MissT! Come be a slut for his mightiness Mayberry! Or pick some other spot to have fun and be silly.

Soon, the words will be flowing off the tips of your fingers again (although your bank balance will be sadly lacking... )

Ya, I have been quite silly in my posting lately.

IT is frustrating as there are some really cool threads that I started to post to and just couldn't finish the job.

Oh well....my vim and vigor will return.

:)

I have been writing a lot lately though....non erotica! I would love to finally finish a project that I can show my dear ole mom!

I have always wanted to write children's stories and have started working on a couple. Two for little ones, and one for pre teens.

Even if they are never published, they can be my gift to my kids.

Good stuff!

Plagarize a page or two of one of your personal classics. How ever many it takes you fufill your obsession. Use the edit function, then the replace function, then remove all 'i's and close your eyes and pick two more letters and remove 'em all. Then work as an editor, finding all the problems, AND, more importantly, trying to restate more effectively what the author was trying to say. :rose:

I find this happens to me too... especially if there is something going on in relationship to Himself that I feel I have to work through...

I simply cannot post until I get into a better head space...

Then it just happens for me again....

Sometimes it seems all I can say is "yeah, what he said" and I don't reply. Other times it is the reply I've given ten times already to the same question and I wonder if I'm anything to the discussion. I do try to remember that it's the first time that particular person has asked that question.

You may have touched on something here for me.

My life away from the pc has been very busy and I am very focussed on some projects in the works.

It may be that this sort of focus is taking my focus away from lit. I am not necessarily feeling too badly about it. If this is the case, it is healthy, after all~

Yep.

It isnt' the first time that my "writer's block" has kicked in.

:)

* waves *

I have posting block all the time. I think Cellis is on to something. I seem to post and write more when life is quiet and calm.

Personally, I enjoy the silly and playful MissT.

Thank you, Goddess H.

It doesn't bother when people don't post because they are going through a bad moment in life. That's understandable.

What really bothers me is when people hold back their thoughts for fear of looking bad in their partner's eyes, or possibly looking bad for agreeing with an opinion that is not supposed to be 'popular' within the BDSM community. I am grateful for those that have the guts to speak out!

Hope to see you back in good spirits soon! :D

i totally feel ya, MissT. i'll go days without feeling like i have anything worthwhile to post. but i always fall back into the swing of things eventually. i hope your block is also temporary, this place just wouldn't be the same without you!

Admittedly, I will, at times, not post an opinion, but it has nothing to do with looking good or bad to anyone. It is simply that it has been brought to my attention that regardless of how invisible I try to be as a moderator, my opinions and words are given a certain amount of weight. I don't want to lead anyone and prefer that people come to their own conclusions.

Then, there are times, I simply must speak out.

I go to the GB when I want to get into a hoorah! :D
