Just checked my e-mail for the first time in a few weeks and I have hundreds of e-mails from lit, apparently informing me about every instance when someone has posted a reply to every one of my subscribed threads. How do I turn this off?

Little box that says "Email Notification" under the textarea where you write your post. Change it in your profile to have this off by default.

You get those e-mails for one of two reasons:

You are subscribed to a thread. Turning off the "Email Notification by default" will NOT stop the e-mails if you're "subscribed" to the thread -- you need to unsubscribe from all of the threads to stop all of the e-mails. You can add threads you want to follow to you favorites to follow them without getting an e-mail every time someone posts.

You have at least one post in each thread that has the "e-mail notification" box checked.

Again, turning off the "e-mail notification by default" will NOT stop the e-mail from existing threads -- it only stops e-mails from any NEW threads you participate in. You need to find each of your posts and EDIT them to uncheck the "e-mail notifiction" box.

Thanks WH. And I just figured out I can just search for all posts in my name to find all the old subscribed threads. Learn somthing new every day.
