Check the image. Do the story categories look familiar?

While doing an occasional, though infrequent, search of the internet using unique sentences from my stories I stumbled across this little gem.

It looks like the whole Literotica story index copied. The whole thing is basically a snapshot of stories, or excerpts of longer stories, taken at some point in the past. Stories are listed in the categories in reverse alphabetical order.

I asked them to take down one of my stories and they did after about a week but I then realized they had "Chapter 2" of that story as well.

You might want to take a look....or not...depending on whether it matters to you or not.

Thanks for the heads up

Hmmm, I don't know if I should be upset or flattered. I did find four of my stories after painfully navigating their website. How did you go about getting them removed?

Good grief all my stuff is there

weird

I went over and looked one up, the story title and introduction are mine, but when I opened the story link, the story itself was not my work...it seemed totally unrelated to my original?

It looks like anyone can upload anything they find on this site. My story entitled Seduction, Surrender and Submission is copied word for word...but not to the end of the story. It stops way short of the entire thing. What a waste of time for anyone reading anything on that site! (But maybe that's because I'm not a member of their site?

They have this disclaimer on the bottom of the front page:

Disclaimer: AmateurPornoSE.com does not host any content or video, generate the content, or reproduce any of the videos. AmateurPornoSE.com is not responsible for any content which is streamed through this website. The videos on AmateurPornoSE.com are made available through embedded links or streams publicly available on popular video hosting websites (redtube.com, xvideos.com, pornhub.com, etc..). AmateurPornoSE.com streams content that has been uploaded to a 3rd party online video hosting sites such as: redtube, xvideos, pornhub, tube8, movshare, vidxden, youtube and other video hosting sites. All videos, live streams and images are taken free from the internet and are hosted on external third party websites.
AmateurPornoSE.com does not accept any responsibility for content hosted on these third party websites and will not be held responsible.

I'm no lawyer, but that disclaimer doesn't sound like it would stand up in court.

Thanks for the heads up. I looked through the site and mines not there. :)

I'd guess they've got a bot uploading stories as a way to get free content for their site and pick up search engine hits/page clicks. The "anybody can upload" bit is a handy smokescreen for when they get caught - whoops, some anonymous user did it, we didn't know it wasn't theirs!

I saw one a while back that was more blatant about it; they'd ripped off some of mine but the story was FULL of formatting glitches that made it obvious they were using a bot. They were slimy enough that they'd backdated the posting dates displayed on their site, to make it look as if they'd appeared there BEFORE my originals on Literotica.

I see my stuff there. I don't know if it's worth fruitlessly bitching to them and giving an email address for them to exploit. I'm mostly pissed about not being credited. They're fucking thieves -- like most commercial pr0n sites. Should I waste time and energy on them?

Looks like they snagged all 52 of mine too. It's not worth my time to even send them an email since only one or two are showing as complete stories.

What dumbasses.

.

Got mine...but just the first page of each. Idiots. One has the same titles as the previous story, so when you click to get mine you get the prior one. Even left the copyright notice I put in some of my stories. So I get credit for those.

That stupid site has some of my stories also, but again just the first page.
I tried sending them an email, but the standard webmaster/abuse/security email accounts don't exist, so that might be how they get around the minor detail of getting feedback saying they are assholes.

They are also using some super secret stealth technology to stay completely hidden on the interwebs.

If you do want to get ahold of them, they are at AMATEURPORNOSE.COM@domainsbyproxy.com.
According to the company they are hiding behind, if they don't answer your take-down request fast enough or to your satisfaction, you can contact their hosting service, or see the "File A Claim" link at the bottom of their home page.

It's ironic to note that DBP says they can't host stuff the way they are doing it and get shut down. Linkage.

Doesn't Literotica itself have some interest in hitting them with sticks? This seems like a brief and easy job for Lit's lawyer.

I found one of mine. The formatting was fine and all the story was there. I sent them an email demanding it be taken down.

I contacted them at the email address amateurpornose@gmail.com as is listed on their "Contact Us" page (just beneath the online form). They responded and removed my story. I was civil but told them that I would file a DMCA complaint with their hosting company and domain registrar if they did not remove my story.

In case anyone is concerned about it, I have not received any spam on the email account that I used to contact them (one of five I have on my domain and the same one I used on my Literotica account).

I don't see where they are using any so called "super secret technology" to avoid accountability. They are just using the same domain and hosting obfuscation as is common to half of the sites on the web today and a "Who Is", "Traceroute" and "Service Scan" reveals all that is necessary for filing a DMCA complaint with their hosting company. Their domain is registered with GoDaddy and Domains By Proxy as noted above, but their network host is Host Europe GmbH.

Contact information for Host Europe GmbH is abuse@hosteurope.de , hostmaster@hosteurope.de .

I don't buy for a minute that these Lit stories, or excerpts of stories, were uploaded by users of the site. Their pilfering of Literotica stories, and the whole Literotica catalog format, is too complete to have happened by chance. I think the "uploade by" notes on the stories are a total fabrication. Because of that, and because it's more than obvious that the sites owners are behind this, their claims of not being liable for the content on their site are totally invalid.

I honestly didn't spend much time on their site, and now I feel like a dumbass for missing that. Thanks for making me look bad Kilt. :D

And not to start a brawl, but I haven't seen a lot of owner obfuscation on websites, but maybe that's common for porn stuff. I don't usually look up owning info for them, lol. Once I was interested in looking I found their info easily enough, so I was being snarky about the 'secret squirrel' comment. I know plenty of people who would get lost on godaddy's whois page for them and thought I'd be funny. Haha. Haha. Haha.

Wnywho, with this visibility on them, and the possibility of DBP and HostEurope yelling at them for potential legal issues, maybe they will quickly go away.

If nothing else, even if they were going to scrape Lit's site, if they had the deceny to link back to LIt or even properly attirbute the authors, maybe the push-back wouldn't be quite so angry. Flat-out stealing is BS and they know better, hence the crappy "disclaimer" they're using.

Doesn't Literotica itself have some interest in hitting them with sticks? This seems like a brief and easy job for Lit's lawyer.

Back when I was new here lit swung a pretty heavy stick and swung it often. A site would pop up, lit would send an e-mail or report them and see you later.

But that was back when they gave a lot more of a shit about pretty much everything they could care less about now.

Now there is a sticky to tell us how to deal with sites taking our stories because they can't be bothered.

Couple years back I found someone who had published for sale close to 300 lit stories and there was a thread and many people worked hard looking at the books to match stories here and it was a big deal considering the thief was a former VE here and that's where they got a lot of the stories.

Know how many posts the site made on that thread? O....no what was done by the site? Nothing. Eventually the books were pulled due to a lot of people here complaining to amazon and leaving "this book was stolen" reviews on them.

So expect nothing from lit in these matters anymore because that's what you'll get.

worth mentioning that Amazon seemed to see no reason to ban this person's account and as far as I know they still have books there and probably all stolen.

It looks like they have mine too. So I guess that means my writing is good enough to steal. Cool :D

I wish they would at least give the authors credit, though.

Should writers leave Lit if they show no interest in defending the source of their own livelihood?

Writers here can do whatever they want.

You've not been paid a cent for the use of your content, you've not paid a cent for the use of the Lit. platform, you're not bound by any contract.

Stay. Go. Your call.

Although technically correct (we didn't claim the cash) https://www.literotica.com/stories/contest.php/summer-lovin-2016, we think our point was missed. If Lit used to defend sites plundering stories, and now it doesn't. What changed? What would make Lit pay attention? Is their supply of new writers so large that they can ignore writers leaving?

We want to stay, but worry about what we perceive as an increasing trend.

They've taken mine WITH my copyright notice.

Mine too. Not all mine have it though. I have found all of mine, a couple really don't go to my story, the go to the another story by the same name that was post after mine.

I'm in the process of writing a email to have them pulled, but I had my C: Drive crap out and been installing a new one for the past two days.

That's what I get for buy those cheap Amazon Western Digital drives, but I've had worse luck with Seagate drives.

Lit auto-removed our copyright from our first story, and we'd thought they weren't wanted/needed. So, we hadn't been using them, since Lit marks them as copyrighted anyway.

Now we're going through and adding full copyright to top and bottom for resubmission. Are there other things besides our obvious easter eggs that can / should be done?

Interesting. I searched out one of my books and found nothing on that site. Found it selling on Amazon though. Changed the title but the rest of the words are all mine.
