It's more, however, for many of us.

One gets what they want and need and desire from this place.

Whether they want only the one-dimensional pleasures of "just a porn site" or the richness of a very supportive and going online community, with the squabbles, love affairs, fights, pairings, breakups, breakdowns, friendships, kisses, toes-stepped-on, conventions, customs, long-term enminities, cliques, groupings, histories, etc of all such places.

I'm getting pretty tired of people pronouncing so cynically, so superciliously, that this is just a porn site when for most of us, it's as much a community as is any we're a part of, slipstream or everyday life.

For some people it is just a porn site. They are no more wrong for feeling that way as you are not wrong for your feelings that it is a online community.

It's really several sites:
The porn stories are at its heart. I know of no other site that devotes as many resources to its authors. It is what hooks most of us, and keeps us coming back.

It is also a comunity of artists, writers, and editors, who thanks to Laurel and Manu have a series of forums to use to improve thier skills.

There are the SRP boards where you can become anything that you can dream up if you can convice someone to play along with you.

Most of us just became aware that the Personals forum has several threads that are much like what you might find on the general board.

Then there are the varius picture portions and the audio stories.

Yes, Lit is much more than your average porn site.

Not that being a porn site is a bad thing.

Well, at first.. I came for the stories.. and a month later, I found an awesome community with wonderful people.

Not only did I stay... but in an odd way, I feel like I have a new family, where I fit in.. I've been looking for that for a long time, as cheesy as that sounds.

I love this place, no matter how many fights go on.. or how many people get offended. At heart, we are all still friends. And what's cool is I already want to meet a lot of you! I actually don't look at this as a porn site.. even though -part- of it is.
