Lit Dialog

Apples and Kumquats on that article of JBJ's in relation to this thread. That's about movie dialogue that includes body language and voice inflection. You don't get those two helpful dimensions in written dialogue--so it's an entirely different animal. A scriptwriter can't just go with the dialogue from a book manuscript and vice versa.

I mentioned that in my post. Writing dialogue isn't a matter of making it real. It's a matter of making it believable.

Is that the answer to why he entered the fawc competition with 5 stories + the one from his alt and still lost?

Or as God mocking him that he lost to a GM story by a first time GM author?

Or is it God that mocks him by creating him in such away he can't acknowledge a loss? You know it must be "it was the easy song, It was a long story they have advantages"

Or is it God that made him such a pompous asshole he sat and reviewed his OWN stories on the thread to explain them to those less than him?

Nah, I doubt that was God just because I don't believe there is one.

That's just Pilot being a whiny loser who can't win anything despite his "superior writing"

And that was after he manipulated the entire contest to get everything he wanted.

Some people are just......really sad.

I can see it now "Fawc 15: Only people named Pilot can enter" And he still loses.

LC loves that circular argument. It's obvious from his rabid behavior on the forum that he gets my stories bombed down to the level that he can come razz me about the ratings on the forum--when he's about the only one who cares about that. I can understand how bitter he is about the FAWC exercises, though, since he was banned some time ago from participating in them because he was caught cheating. It's all about winning with him--even a cheated win in a contest with the voting integrity of a sieve will do. Poor baby, having come from a dysfunctional family, plagued with the desire to torture and fuck his sister, both a failed marriage and business, declaring in November more than a year ago that he was going to quit his subsistence warehouse job and write full time and then discovering he couldn't make a living at that either, I can see why winning on a free-use Web site and being king of the hill there is so important to him.

Could be. I don't read incest. But he certainly could be a great writer--I've never taken out after his writing like he obsessively takes after mine (which should tell folks something right there). I wrote to his sick obsession with me, not what I think about his writing, which I haven't read. You can be a sick obsessive and still be a good writer. Take you, for instance.

My wife and I watch football and she was complaining that every other commercial is for guys who can't get it up.

I told her these were revenge commercials for all the feminine hygiene products that they used to advertise years ago.

"Mom, you ever get that......

And nearly every commercial has an average or fat guy with a super HOT babe.
