I've read quite a few reviews on Amazon. Many seem to be written by the same customers who write product reviews on baby strollers before the baby is born.

Agreed.
I wouldn't qualify Amazon reviews as "real book reviews" any more than I'd qualify the comments here as such.
The criteria seems equivalent.

An amazon or SW review or any other e-platform is of course not a "New York Times" style book review.

But.....whatever p0latform your material is sold on is the type of review you get. If it is a "baby stroller" review then well, that is what every one is getting there and successful authors have a lot of them and people who aren't don't get any.

Pilot made one of his typical snarky remarks that people who don't get them don;t know what they are.

Well according to what I see he can't even get a baby stroller review. Of course he will claim he has dozens of real book reviews, from famous book reviewrs and published under the biggest publishers.

But....he will never name the books, the reviewer or the publisher because in reality they do not exist.

I could care less if people want to say "I sold thousands of books!" great, good for you. But Pilot's pretend success is what he rams down everyone's throats when they don;t agree with him.

"Well I am in the industry and I have real world success and I know what I'm talking about and you're just stupid"

So at that I take offense because all I can see on the sales platforms I have checked is less than mediocrity.

It doesn't matter if SW is not considered the best seller list. fact is there are authors there selling 10k+ books a month. It is a legit sales platform and this fraud has 50+ books and they don't even warrant a baby stroller review. Not one of them.

Pilot is famous for being the kid to throw something at someone then be the one to look innocent when the person throws it back and that person gets caught.

So seeing I hit second he thinks I look bad. Problem is I'm the type that would do things in front of the teacher or anyone else around because I don't care.

What I do care about is the idiotic PM's I get from people saying "I'm glad you did that, I'm glad you said that. I know he's lying"

That I'm sick of. A lot of people here agree with me, but heaven forbid they post and have to deal with him.

To those people and you know who you are. I am not your spokesmen. You have something to say to the asshole say it.

Meantime what I know is no pen name posted or site listed or e-book I found has signs of anything but below average response and sales.

We will hear about all the great selling well received work he has, but never get the name or publisher to go with it.

His mediocrity can be seen easily by everyone. His success has to be a big secret

Just like we get the "he must remain anonymous because of who he is" but has put out so much personal information we could all but find his house if we wanted to.

I don't care what anyone's success or lack of success level is. I really don't.

Until its used to try to belittle every one else and that is when I will always go back to proving the emperor has no clothes.

Again, off the wall, but what does it matter?

Look at all the crazy racist shit that gets slung here it makes me roll me eyes, but I stay out of it, because end of the day I'm never going to say anything that will change them.

That's why I don;t argue in general on chat boards and even for the most part in r/l

Think about it of you think say white and I think say black what is either one of us ever going to say that will make the other go "hey, you know..."

People are deep seeded in their beliefs and fighting that is a waste of energy.

That's just my opinion and if someone makes my eyes roll to that point there is always iggy
