It is a well known fact I am a pretty damn good cook. So it really is no surprise I was volunteered to make dinner today. It would have been nice to have been asked. I started cooking yesterday. Today, should be relatively easy...just keeping the oven busy in proper order.

Turkey, dressing, gravy, broiled Brussel sprouts, candied carrots, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green been casserole, homemade biscuits. Pumpkin pie. Nothing major

How do I keep sanity when around family? I will work outside coming in just to change and monitor things. God I do hate family. But it is illegal to treat them as they deserve.

Heading to my parent’s soon. Mom insisted on doing the majority of the cooking. I find myself wanting to go over a little earlier just to sit and relax with them. At 75 and 70 I realize things are going to change and I want to savor every moment.

We will not be including our Canadian “friends” to the north. They celebrated their Thanksgiving day last month, like some kind of heathens.

Today is just a normal day for them, eating poutine topped with maple syrup, curling and listening to Nickelback.
