We had sun last week...up to 14C and now it has been raining and cold for the rest of the week.

If you puff up check for a stinger. Do you have West Nile Virus there? I do not think I will be going outside this summer unless I have bug spray on me.

Nice to hear that the little guy is progressing. When young...I remember, so long ago, they heal faster and smile and laugh more. He's got loving parents and that makes for an extra dose of healing.

No planting here till middle of May. Puttering around the yard will begin in about three weeks; raking and rolling. Hope to get on the bicycle before then.

Well i'm not really a gardener its all trial and error .I just found out that parsley grows all year round but mint only grows in summer.So i've got loads od parsley at the moment but no mint.

Well i'm not really a gardener its all trial and error .I just found out that parsley grows all year round but mint only grows in summer.So i've got loads od parsley at the moment but no mint.

it is always easier to buy it at the store but for some reason it tastes better when it is home grown...mom is the gardener in my family...80 and you should see her face light up when she tells me of starting her seeds in the house for planting in May.

we never lack for anything green while there are plants at mom's.

Theres another ant-war demo in London to-day. How can people be agaist a war that will free the Iraqi people from a tyrant who has murdered a million of his own people?.The lies that are still coming from the Iraqi goverment only prove even more so the need for them to be removed. My grandfather came from Iraq. I saw an old bit of news footage in B/W. It showed Saddam having people removed from his cabinet in the early 80,s and taken out and shot. I still acertain that the majority of these demonstrators have never lived in an Arab country,and never sampled the culture shock that we have. They should try it before they form an opinion based only on western culture.

We tried a garden last yr.
It took off prety well, but as soon as they got to,,??getting there stage????? Came home from work one day to find that the bugs & what not had devoured almost everything!!!!!! I didnt see any but then in the next few days they even got the leaves of what was left.
Only tomatoe plants made it & only a few tomatoes at that. Even green somethin was havin a go at em.

My orange tree is starting to flower!!!! Guess it will be about november before its ready again..

Well its great outside & I have to go do some work at the apartment house.

Lips / Protests

I will try to be brief here Lips and try to clairify the protests from a USA perspective.
Most of the protests are not against War, they are against Politics.
As were most in Vietnam. Everyone knows how evil Saddam is and should be gone.
But he is of absolutely no Military threat to the USA. If his Army was Massing our borders, then he might be a threat and a preemptive strike would be smart.
But he wasn't. The bottom line is we fired the first shot...........Why ?
President Bush has told the American Public that Saddam might be a threat in 5 years or so and must be removed. This now gives Bush or any USA president the power to strike any Country, first, that they feel are a threat. President Bush is now the closest thing in a long time to dictator of the World. This war is not about land or defending it. It is about Politics and Money..........That's why some people are protesting. For whatever it's worth, I support the soldiers, but not Bush's actions.
