I'm pretty sure the shuttle people knew they were fucked on take off Lips..............

Finished their mission and headed back kinda hopeing they could make it................

It is a shame...........But Machines do break ! ! !

Interesting about how your garage system works. But I've never likved that close to a BIG city, & daytona does not count. Outside of the race track & the high rises at the shore,,, It reminds me of the slums. What a dissapointment when I moved down. Guess I'm just a " Born in a small town" kind o guy.

Machines do break, but theres always prevention!
I dont think they KNEW they were fucked.
But the part that pisses me off is that they DIDNT have the ability to go out & LOOK at the damn thing to make sure it was in 1 peice!!!!! &&&&& in the time they were up doing experiments they werent able or allowed to do a pass by the space station so THEY could look at the bottom of her & make an assesment!!!!
& like the guy on tv keeps pointing out,, "its not like they had the ability to put tiles back on" && that is a shame, & should be re thought. but not necessarily what happened.

No matter how much digging they do now , We will never know the REAL answer.

I have a friend who is a mechanic for United here in Chicago at Ohare........................

He says if they had more time to look at the planes, they would be safer..........................

Turn around time is important and they cannot keep the planes on the ground longer ( Corprat stuff )........................

So.........He checks the places where they might have the most wear and tear and they go up again........................

This was one of their beefs on the last contract dispute..........

He says with the way United is now, he would not fly in their planes...

I am sure the general Public will not know this.....................

The Shuttle is the same..................................

We will never REALLY know what happened just like we will never REALLY know why it was up there to begin with..........................

I just hope they point the finger at the person or people who really fucked up ! ! ! !

But I'm not going to hold my breath

I'm still stickin' with my theory that they knew they were fucked....

These were Doctors that were up there.....................

And they knew they could not parachute out or Dock with the Space Station................................

One Hell of a way to go...........Dead people flying ! ! !

They deserve more credit than they are going to get ! ! !

I got a pair but not that particular skirt..has to be someone else.

The longer you wait the better product you will get and the cheaper it will be. I am with the others in my opinion that the new plasmas need to be tinkered with some more before they go mainstream. And the cost is more than enough to gag me as it is.

If the angle of re-entry is slightly out, it would have made the damaged shuttle even worse.

With a speed of Mach 18 ( 13,000 mph )

They were limping.......And they knew it ! ! ! ! !

They were saying a bunch of Holy Marys to no avail.................

The people on the Shuttle knew they were fucked............

AND.................................. that is the shame...........................

Died doing their...... JOB..............Go figure ! ! !.......................
