Take you camera with you... as long as you get the proper voltage, and have the plug end that fits and is set for the proper +/- poles they work just fine... as I stated earlier, my problem was that the universal kit I bought didn't have the plug that fit my particular cam... usually, the people working there (hopefully) are knowledgable enough to help you figure that all out...
