Any Computer Camera, Video Recorder or Cell Phone that is not powered by a rechargeable Ni-Cad battery is not worth a shit.....

Am I missing something ?????

My older Brother has a $1000.00 Sony Computer Camera......

Takes Pix to 3 1/2inch floppy..............

2 NiCad Batteries and Charger............................

Takes Movies that will fill up the Floppy........................

About 2 min of movie per Floppy................

Pix go to Floppy also............................

Cut...Copy..... and Paste from Floppy...............If you want..........

No USB Port...............Just send the Floppy, if you want, to the Boss.......................

Batteries...........

I'm not a complete expert, but have enough puter mags to fill a closet..many brands...My favorite used to be MAXIMUM PC.
Hey bender buddy its jerry,,,still up ,, really didnt want to get into this ,,THIS late(early) but for everyones sake that doesnt know much about the cameras, batteries & pixels & floppies
Now adays, the rechargable way to go is with Nihm batteries
I'm not berating your bro's cam, but its got to be,,2 yrs old??
Cause nowadays, you cant( fit much on a floppy) They are 1.44 megabytes, or 1440 kylobytes. With todays resolution capabilities & pixel counts, that aint much at all.
Consider this,,,,Most expandable slot media,(san disk, compact flash, Sony's memory stick, etc.) Start at what,,about 8 MEGABYTES. Thats what like 5 floppy's??? & they go quick, with the good stuff. & video takes evem MORE memory.


I' gotta get a nother beer after that.

I think these new smaller cameras are completly different mine is powered by two AA bateries , once the camera is connected to the computer an icon appears and you just drag it to your H/D and put them in a file .Its all confusing.

Lips, does your camera WORK/save pics without the EXTRA memory card??? Either way,,,It sounds as if it simply works as an external drive reader. ex. floppy reader, cord connected super disk or external hard drive.
In a way it beats using a seperate program to get the shit in your puter.

Yes its got an internal memory and also will take an internal memory card.It came with the software.Once installed you just plug it in and the icon appears with the pics in it.

THat's what I meant. There are not complete standards yet, as with all new gimmicks. I'm pissed because the price of my digi went down 50 bucks (31 lbs.), obviously because HP wants to get rid of something they feel is obsolete. However, mine will have rechargeable batteries, and an adaptor. No movie capability, though.
