roybot.....cameras

The battery thing can be a pain in the ass!! The camera manufactures should be REQUIRED by law, to put real power usage measurements, on their specifications, along with all the other stuff.
My cheapo camera uses the 'spensive 9 volt batteries, & uses them up almost instantly.
& my sisters nicer camera uses just 2 of the (rather inexpensive AA) & lasts days. Even with the flash.

This one takes AA batteries. A lot of the shots i have were taken on a Cannon SLR with a telescopic lense and decent lighting.Mike is the camera expert .When we lived in Bahrain he used the camera to do shots of hotels for their brochures and advertising material.He knows more than i do . But he's trying the digi now but he does'nt seem that impressed. Some of the shots he's taken of me have appeared in magazines.......Proper lighting and makup do help an awful lot.

Yes, Unless you get a very high end digital,(nowadays) they do not compete with slr's in the quality area.,
But the convienience factor, is what does it for them.
&& some how, all along I knew you where a celebrety of some sorts!!!!!!!

Well if you can have fun with a camera why not make a bit money as well.

You have to make money to pay for the damn batteries!! I finally got an ac adaptor for mine...it saves a lot of battery time when you downloading pics....I went to the manufacturers webpage....Might save a few trips to the store and you can use your batteries for something else.."B.O.B?? "Battery Operated Boyfriend"??

We will be getting a many mega pixel digi for my wife soon (eventually?) since we will be doing a serious upgrade on her computer, printer, and monitor so she can do better prints, files, &c. for her artwork. But I don't think I'll be using it much, since the fast, easy, sexy shots that can be sent and handled quickly are more my cup of tea. We still have the Canon SLR for the real continuous tone. I'm getting an AC adaptor for the inside photography, and stuff.

Isn't it neat that we never get the definitive, final solution for these things? It keeps us young. Hah!

My older Brother has a $1000.00 Sony Computer Camera......

Takes Pix to 3 1/2inch floppy..............

2 NiCad Batteries and Charger............................

Takes Movies that will fill up the Floppy........................

About 2 min of movie per Floppy................

Pix go to Floppy also............................

Cut...Copy..... and Paste from Floppy...............If you want..........

No USB Port...............Just send the Floppy, if you want, to the Boss.......................

I think these new smaller cameras are completly different mine is powered by two AA bateries , once the camera is connected to the computer an icon appears and you just drag it to your H/D and put them in a file .Its all confusing.
