Brought in Lionel Hampton on Vibes, ( A Black Musician ) Gene Krupa on Drums and had a Trio that changed the music world as we know it. The beginning of Bebop...................

Because of that, Fletcher Henderson, a Black music writer, started to write Charts for the Goodman Band...........and the rest is History.......

I had the pleasure of being able to take a few drum lessons with Gene Krupa and Vibe lessons with Lionel Hampton when they were in Chicago.............It was an experience I will never forget..............

But, Let's not forget the others.....................

COUNT Basie, DUKE Ellington, BUDDY Rich, MAYNARD Fergeson

I'm on a broadband link that 10x faster than a cnventional 56k modem . So that means i can use the phone while i'm on the net,but i dont because its connected to our fax machine . We've got another line downstairs.

Broadband is probably called something else over there.I've got an internal modem in the Mac and an external broadband modem (westell).

I played a Russian / Jewish party last nite................

Almost all we played was Disco...............

They even sang the words in Yiddish ( Jewish Language ) to some of the great standards from the '70s..................

Celebration.........Last Dance...........Boogie Ogie Ogie...........

The Band leader asked me if I needed charts to read and I laughed. I could play those songs drunk and asleep.......LOL

And all the children danced............and knew the words..........

Some were not even born when the songs were popular....LOL

I think Disco is still popular in Europe.......Lips might know more.
