Links in our stories

Just wondering if we're allowed to do links to other LE stories in our works. I plan to write a poetry review for "Reviews and Essays" and want to put links to the poems I've talked about in the text at the end of the review so readers can easily go to these poems and read them entirely (sort of like a works cited)

Is this allowed and if so how do I do it?

I believe you are allowed to do this with your own works but not with anything else. I'm not sure if you can do it with others' submissions. You can PM laurel (not email, so she won't get it) and ask her if it's allowed. If so, you would need to put the links in html format for them to show up in the submission.

I don't think you are permitted to put any links in your stories--even fake URLs (which I've unsuccessfully tried). Anyone been permitted to do this in a story text?

No. Anything with URL references gets rejected. There are some copywrite issues as well as problems with correctly displaying them.

Some links are okay. When we all did our Rainy day stories some years ago (now published under the Coming Together name), we all put links in the author's notes that went to the thread that started it all.
