I try to run and flee from Oktoberfest every year. Hate it, loathe it ... and this year, it's not doing too well.

A lot of my local merchants have told me they think it's losing steam. It has priced itself too high. Not sure I disagree. I'm certainly not seeing the people here as we did in years past.

Have I mentioned how much I hate the f*cking thing? One giant boozefest, that's all it is now.

Most people have some choices LING, but often in life, as it was in my case, some of those choices were taken from me. It isn't always simple living with things the way I do, but I persevere. Not as well as in years past, but I try.

uh, so how many times did you actually go,and you proably went just by yourself-its a once a Year Boozefest as U put it but a Person still has a choice of how much he or she drinks- anyway we went with 2 other Couples and we had a "great Time":nana:

Hello from Wednesday - always feel a bit behind the action by being around 12 hours ahead or so...
 
When you work for yourself and are also semi-retired, Wednesdays don't make much difference. Nor do Fridays or Saturdays. In a way, I look at things by the month and thank God, we've made if halfway through this sucky October - I wish better days for us all!

You're supposed to do the exciting stuff during half-time of a football game, the 7th inning "stretch" of the baseball game ... and friggin' anytime you'd like during a hockey game ... in my most humblest of opinions. :cool:

OK ... so admittedly, I don't pull off humble very well ... but it was worth a try. :D

You know what;) you need a good shaking up every once in a while and if that doesnt work a kick in the Butt-anyway have a half decent Day:)
