I got the new piece edited / submitted. I hope the readers will enjoy it. I'm inching towards story 500 out here.

Won't be around here much longer, the pills are kicking in. A few hours of sleep and then, errands. If the day goes well, I hope to finish another story (or, dare I hope, two?) and submit 'em.

Wellllllll ... that just set my fantasy mind on fire! ;)

The thread cops are so unpredictable ... particularly here on PG. We'll go months and months and months without any interference ... and then boom boom boom ... a ton of threads get deleted. Frustrating.

Then again, it is free, and most of us keep coming back for more. :D

I would have finished the piece sooner had I not been in pain DUMPLING. If I told you how many pain meds I took, you'd stagger. I have a high tolerance for medication, although I am a bit woozy now.

Started the next one, although in the spirit of honesty, I'd begun it a few days back and put it aside. I had the plot in my head and yet, the more I wrote, the less I could think of a way to make it work. A writer I respect once said that often, characters write themselves. It's true. I made one essential tweak (in my head, it isn't on the page yet) and it now works.

I don't know how many readers - a lot. I know I've had over 10 million hits (for fun, I added them up one time and checked back every so often). That is out here. I write for one other site (different name and subject matter) plus for my publishers.

Bragging a bit - I also checked a few years back and I was in LIT's Top 100 most-read authors. I was even in the top 20. I am sure it has changed by now, but I was flattered.

Yes - the first year, they tell you that you're going to have to adjust your lifestyle. Problem is, FANTASY, the government here ("free" health care) only helps so much - so how do they expect me to manage?

I am of the pre-OHIP (Ontario's Health Care Plan) era, so I do remember what things were like and yes, they're better. However, it hasn't kept up with the times. Things need to be overhauled.

I am still here, although a bit stoned. Lord, thank God for pain meds.

Understand your concerns, maybe one day things will be good (healthcare etc), though I dont see that happening

Like you said, thank goodness for the meds :)

It was cold yesterday going to Work  had to switch Clothes again- so what are you catching up with;)

That sure does delay the change over to seasonal clothes.:D

A lot of the catching up is house work and some yard work:rolleyes:

FS, with the medical community we have today, changes are inevitable. I had Retinal Detachment surgery a decade ago and I've had cataract / glaucoma surgery (other eye) since. I see so well now that I only use glasses for distance (like TV) and light protection. Never say never.

Nope LING, got stuff to do today as well - but might put it off for one more day.

Hello LING and morning to you. No - I let a few things slide because I began to tire. I have to pick up a few groceries later today and run one or two errands. I just need to wait for the mail first, which comes around noon or a bit later.

mh, so do you walk, take a Bus,or a Taxi when you do your errands?;)

Almost always use transit. I walked a lot last year, but not this year, for obvious reasons.

Cabs are for two reasons - I'm in a rush or I have too much to physically carry.
