party of course. nice dinner beforehand.
You dont swim...never learned how??? Or just dont enjoy it/get scared of open water...?
I love kayaking!
Never learned. Was horribly allergic to chlorine as a kid so pools were a no go and I didn't like getting into rivers/lakes. I've tried to learn as an adult. Haven't put much effort into it. I'm sure it's embarrassingly bad but I have tried to learn. Hopefully going to go kayaking again Sunday even though my blisters on my thumbs have not healed from last time but what the hell!

Well, whether you think it is "incredible" or not is debatable.
But in order to stay reasonably fit or trim, I do jog every morning, do the Santa Monica stairs, take a walk with my dog for an extended period of time/distance, go to the gym most days around 5pm-ish, and east reasonably well most days as well.
The one area I definitely dont do well is sleep. I tend to not sleep too well most days. But otherwise, there is no major way to get fit (though apparently GLP-1 seems to do well for a quick fix), other than it is simply what has always worked and no one wants to do: diet and exercise.
Of course I eat pizza. Ice cream. French fries. Drink alcohol. Sit on my ass and watch tv.
Its all IN MODERATION and PORTION CONTROL.
You dont NEED a double burger with cheese and bacon and large fries and XL Coke.
Or if you do, maybe have a realy light dinner....and ensure you go to bed 2-3 hours after eating!

but regardless of my response...thank you. I work hard to stay fit. So thank you for noticing and admiring!
 😘
Everything is better in moderation except for our consumption of Kit content. That is impossible to overdose from!

whats wrong with a lake? afraid of a fishy?

I saw the following over the last couple of days

The Long Walk
and
The Life of Chuck

Ironically, both are Stephen King.
Neither are super creepy like IT or Carrie or Cujo or something.

The Long Walk had some decent acting. PHillip Seymour Hoffman's kid is the main star. Mark Hamill plays The Major, a military guy. Its pretty good. Not a ton is explained in it but the premise is...in the very near future the USA had a civil war. Ever since, once a year 50 young men (age 18) meet up and go on a walk to go as long as they can. No breaks. No breaking to sleep, eat, poop, whatever. If you stop once for more than a couple seconds, you get a warning. After three warnings (within an hour), the fourth one is...BANG, you get shot. No joke.
The last person walking wins some insane amount of money and a "wish"...

The Life of Chuck has Tom Hiddleston as the main star, though he isnt in it THAT much. Several other recognizable people are in it. MArk Hamil, is in this too! Haha! It is a difficult movie to explain. Basically, from childhood to adulthood, Charles "Chuck" Krantz experiences the wonder of love, the heartbreak of loss, and the multitudes contained in all of us...and the movie is shown "in reverse"...it starts with Act III and goes backward. Kind of like Benjamin Button but not exactly.
I really enjoyed this too and it all makes sense at the end. At the end of Act III, about 20-30 min into it, youll be like...Wait...WTF?!...but it all makes sense at the end. Very endearing, good family movie etc.
Out of curiosity about how many movies do you see per week/month?

I’m a big movie fan myself, so they tend to be my primary entertainment. (Lol and an inordinate interest in all things Bigfoot related.)

Theaters? Less than 1. Meaning, only a few a year in the theater. Though to be honest, seeinh Marty Supreme in the theaters tomorrow afternoon.

On netflix/apple/hbo? Not tons but sure, 10 or 15 a year or whatever it comes out to...but many of those can be older films I never got around to. I try to see any Academy Award nominated films before they have the event if interested. Last year that meant seeing Anora, The Brutalist, Conclave, The Substance, A Real Pain, The Apprentice...
still gotta see Nosferatu...

but otherwise...unless its some popcorn fare that looks fun (like a Marvel type of movie, James Bond etc) or just something that looks really interesting (like Msrty Supreme to me), I generally prefer series on streaming channels.
