We, temporarily, have a cat. My upstairs neighbors got arrested, and their family wouldn't take their cat. I've got an appointment for her with the local no-kill shelter.

In the meantime she's gone into heat, probably for the first time. (I think she's only about six months old.) She's driving us BATTY!

She's definitely yelling. And rolling around and tripping us and waking the kids up . . . If I were to name her, I'd call her loud mouth.

My sister has three cats, one boy and two girls. Her boy she got fixed IMMEDIATELY, but the girls she just kept inside while in heat, and only recently got them fixed. They would literally try to RAPE her boy kitty. Once she came out in the middle of the night, and found that somehow her boy kitty (star) had knocked over the laundry basket over the girl kitty (ice) and was sitting on it so she couldn't get out. Ice was PISSED. (FYI Ice is a siamese mix - she's a bitch.)

we swear that our boy cats (both of whom have been fixed since they were kittens ~ one is 7, one is 17) are sadists. Both will come up to her when she's trilling and rubbing herself on them and will bite the back of her neck. She gets all flustered, sticks her butt in the air and that's about the point that Fred walks off. Bailey will bite her and sit next to her... no wonder she beats the shit out of him whenever she sees him.

we always know when she's going in heat because she starts chasing fred around and putting herself in front of him or lies on him.. like this.. we call this picture, "young love"

Yep, that looks like loudmouth to me. She's been doing that to all the furniture and the kids . . .
