Like my boobs?

HAHAH nice.

Comeout2play.... it says you're racing in the street... what do you drive??

Why thank you... you're too kind. :D

As a male I'm glad I don't have boobs. That'd just be nasty.

Thread does not deliver...

but it was good for a chuckle. :) Thanks, SS.

Best picture I have seen all day.

What size shot you run? Dry or Wet? Any other mods or just bolt ons?

Not a bad modset at all- I am guessing with the bolt ons you put down about 320-340 to the wheels N/A, and about 400-420 spraying, right? With the suspension you have backing it up, that should be nice.

Did you put a 12 bolt or a 9 inch in, or just beef up the stock rearend? With that suspension, you could snap the stock like a twig on a hard launch.

Do you take it to the track at all?

Wait... am I missing something? How can you have a ram air AND a K&N in a filter box?

The ram air is the style of the intake- his scoop on his hood is fuctional, it siphons air coming over it and diverts it against the box- the faster he goes, the more air is slammed into the intake- so it is "rammed" in.

K&N is the style of the filter. Because they are cotton and oiled, they are less restrictive than a stock paper filter. More air= more power. Plus, it helps throttle response since the rush of air on the TB opening can be better handled.

I have a cold-air intake on my car, and I use the cone filter that came with it. That's why it seemed strange to me.

Come to think if it, I was probably thinking of a short ram intake, which also usually uses a cone filter. My bad.

I'm not a domestic fan, but I am a car guy, and that thing seems like a beast. Nice work.

Cold Air and Ram air are two different styles of intakes- K&N DOES make CAI and RAI style intakes, but they are most known for their air filters themselves, which you can drop a air filter into your stock intake if so desired.

Basically, a true CAI will go put the air filter into the fenderwell, so that it has less ambient heat from the engine.

A RAI Will be put in a place where it can recieve a shot of air that increases as speed goes up- for example on a Mustang like mine it will be put in the same spot as a stock intake, but if you pull out the headlight, you will have a true RAI.

Just seeing what the male and female reaction is to my BOOBS :D :D :D

Sorry for the disappointment to some... I figured everyone on Lit could use a good laugh. This pic came from my 1999 Camaro SS. I just happened to have the cameraphone ready :D

man! that was funny, but i got all excited to see boobs!

When it comes to LS1 engines, when people say "Lid" it is the assembly that holds the air filter in place. Basically, the stock Lid setup is VERY restritive, and only pulls air from a small part under the car, fed through the grille, and the aftermarket lids allow the intake setup to breathe. A car can have both a "Lid" which is the intake assembly, with a K&N filter put in said lid.

K&N makes more than cone filters, they make lots of different style filters for every single kind of car, both with CAI setups using their filters and just the filter to put into a stock assembly.

For example on 4.6 Mustangs like mine, the Stock Intake doesn't really need to be changed, because on N/A applications it flows just fine. So, you can drop in a K&N filter for 50 vs a CAI which is 200 and see the same exact gains.

BTW- what type of car do you drive?
