Do tell.

It took an episode of Buffy to get me into them, but now I dig Sweeny Todd....

The only one I can take more than once is "Fiddler on the Roof" which I love.

I love so many!

I'll pick The King and I as my favorite though. I saw Yul Brynner live in it too. Awesome!

sound of music..

and sadly enough she turns me on too. I get a woody from "these are a few of my favorite things" song/scene.. she can twirl all over me baby.

I saw that at the Drury Lane.

I never saw the ghost, though.

And the hellicopter scene was not as phenomenal as people had made it out to be.

But all in all, it's a pretty rocky musical.

I love musicals

Brigadoon
Carousel
West Side Story
Les Miserables
Man of La Mancha (Don't see the movie version though ... its indescribly awful)
Bye Bye Birdie
Camelot
Evita
Godspell
Hair
Mame
Gypsey
42nd Street
The Fantastics (see the note on The Man of La Mancha)
Footlight Parade
Yankee Doodle Dandy
The King and I
Sound of Music

Hard Choice!

Les Miz

West Side Story (Leonard Bernstein)

Candide (more Leonard Bernstein)

Once Upon a Mattress

Peter Pan

Camelot

Oliver

Ain't Misbehavin'

(and if you go to the tix booth in Times Square the day of the performance you can usually get to see want you want half price!)

But the best thing I ever saw was not a musical, but a Eugene O'Neill Play starring Jason Robards, Colleen Dewhurst, and Milo O'Shea. Wow! It was wow!
