I had a guest last weekend who had never heard of cheese straws, and my sister was shocked yesterday when I said I was craving them!!

Cheese straws are little snack dittys that are sort of a cross between a bread stick and a cracker, I guess. Cheesy and sometimes hot and spicy, too. Crunchier than bread, softer than a cracker. They are usually made by "piping" the batter out on a cookie sheet and baking, so they tend to be sort of fluffy.


Ok, that all sounds so weird, but...it's the best I can do. Anyone else care to share their thoughts on cheese straws????

We don't have those here. Maybe they are an American thing? They sound delicious though

They are yummy - with just about anything including scotch and wine.

I've made them at home before, but these I got at the deli. Sorry you don't have them!
