Just a thought: make sure you and your partner are in agreement on what is considered "light bondage." Some of those seem a little more like "heavy bondage" to me. When I think of "light bondage" I'm thinking more along the lines of a scarf to the bedpost, or just immobilizing the hands, but something that can be gotten out of with a little effort.

If you're just getting into it, though, I will say it's a bit of a slippery slope. I don't do bondage much, or often. I've played around with it a little with my current bf, but it started out light, and has escalated ever since then. It's all about letting go.

does anybody know a good youtube video of how to tie knots for light bondage play?

For most of my bondage I like to use wrist and ankle restraints. They all have D rings so you can clip them to each other, spreader bars, other D rings, whatever. It's fast and leaves no rope burns. That would be what I call light bondage. Homburg does the fancy artistic stuff very well.

I just want her tied up and don't care about the visual effects.

He is indeed a wise man.

mysterywhiteboy, the most important thing with any rope bondage is to tie a knot that won't get tighter and tighter if your sub pulls on it. Serious damage can be done to the veins and tendons in the wrist if you fuck this up or pull on said knots with any degree of force/weight. Once you know how to do this safely, you can fool around and experiment. It's a good idea to have a knife or pair of scissors handy in case an emergency release is required for any reason.

I'm not expirienced in this, but for beginning I'd say find a knot that the person being restrained can work their way out of with some effort. While this could lead to them getting loose in the throws of passion, it should also put them at ease since they can get out. Have them try before hand too.

I know it's a total tangent but one of the hottest things is when Master orders me to put my hands behind my back or something. To be bound by a word like that is extremely powerful.

the Queen of el-cheapo here, just went to the dollar store and baught the quick release dog collars. The clip is plastic, so if you pull hard enough you can break it without being the Hulk. Pretty sturdy otherwise and fully adjustable.
