Light a candle

Thank you, I cried, am crying, still cry. It was beautiful.
Thank you to all those who took the time to light a candle there.

Hold me Shyguy?

very sad day

Shyguy the site was so sad ......here in England we are feeling it for you all so much in America, today we had a 3 minutes silence at 11.00am and a church service in St Pauls Catherdral, where we sang your American National Anthem and our own "God save the Queen " ......it made us cry here , more people in tears than i have seen for a long time , even trains and taxis stopped .....the Bristish public are behind you ....

God bless you all ......

sarahuk4 we did the same here in Denmark at the same time. At my work place the bossed e-mailed us all, and asked us to honor the victims with two minuted of silence.

And again today all state and goverment buidings had the danish flag at half-mast, as well did many private companies, including my own.

The radio stations stopped transmitting from 12.00 until 12.02, the trains stopped, and people all over Denmark stopped up to show their sympathy with America.

One thing that went through my mind during those 2 minutes was:

may the light shine upon you
and the spirits watch over you

I want to add that even though most europeans had 3 minutes of silence, we followed the Danish tradition and only held 2 minutes

shyguy

Yes , Shyguy , it shows how people over the world can stick together , and not allow terrorism to win .......we have to and not allow terrorism to ruin us .......i feel so dreadfully sorry for the American public now ......i am lucky i dont think i know any Brits killed in it , well at least murdered in it ....but when we see it on our tv screens it is horrific ..........my mind keeps replaying the site of the plane embedding itself into the tower ..............

If we can only help slightly by prayers and remembering loss of life it is the least we can do .......

God bless you all .....

A picture tells more than a thousand words.

From the city square in Copenhagen at noon CET (Central European Time) today

thank you

Thank you Shyguy , i have finally managed to light a candle ......

God Bless you all ....

Another picture from Denmark today, when we had the 2 minutes of silence

Thank you

And now, to light my real life candle, it is nearly 7 p.m.

I am crying now at the pictures and sentiments of so many all over the world.

God Bless us all!

Miss Taken.

Earlier tonight I was standing in my window, and looking out, and I felt both sad and joy when I saw that a few who live in the apartments around here did the same as I did. And that was to light some candles, and place them in the windows, as a token of respect to all the victims.

Rest In Peace
May the light shine upon you
and may the spirits watch over you

i lit a candle from the wife and i

great site.
will link it for the wifes group.

God bless.

Thank you

Thank you ShyGuy.

It was a wonderful site and I have been back several times.

As for the candles in the window, mine is lit on my steps each night. I will continue to do so everynight until we find peace again.

I don't mean peace for only New York or the US, peace for all of us.
