Life Lesson #1862

I think that should be higher on the list. And not just limited to sweets. All sorts of crazy stuff gets bought when you go to the supermarket hungry.

lavender lives in Texas... Is there any other ice cream than Bluebelle?

What the hell is Bluebell? No way it can beat Ben and Jerry.

I'm going to have to check my "Life Lesson" files. I'm up to #73626252745953885746 this afternoon. I think the "don't shop hungry" lesson was around #3 for me.

I still haven't conquered that one yet ... I think I'm the only person on earth who makes a $90 beef stew!

You must be a yankee. Y'all don't know what good ice cream is all about. But it ain't your fault. Y'all just don't have enough hot weather up there to really need ice cream. You have a much shorter ice cream "season." The sell Ben and Jerry's down here, but it doesn't get a whole lot of takers. Not with Bluebelle ice cream in the same store. TIC

Ben and Jerry's Phish Food-
Chocolate ice cream, caramel, marshmellow, fish shaped chocolate bars, and i believe chocolate swirls of fudge aka orgasm in a pint.:)

For Blue Bell (it's not "belle" Texan, sorry) I choose Strawberry with Homemade Vanilla or Chocolate Decadence. Oh man. *drools*

When I really want ice cream though, it's gotta be Amy's white chocolate with either bananas or strawberries in it. Nothing else will do.

Thank G-d I live in Austin.

Sorry about the spelling Nora. Even my wife tells me I never notice ANYTHING that's right in front of my face. (I wonder what she's talking about?)

I'm a fan of Bluee Bell, Homemade Vanilla with a bit of Hershey's chocolat syrup drizzled over the top.

No Way!

Blue Bell Vanilla -- hands down and

MOOOOOOOlinium Crunch! -- It's to die for!

From the little creamery in Brenham, "Where they eat all they can and sell the rest!"

I can't believe I just read this thread while I'm in the middle of depriving myself of yummy things to eat this week. *sigh*

Ok, I'll give 'em my stamp of approval for the prettiest use of way too many graphics on a front page. Blue Bell Creameries for our Yankee brethren. ;)

Has anyone done the tour? I've always kinda wanted to go, but I've never had a good enough excuse.

My weakness at the grocery store is probably HEB's croissants. They're *so* bad for you, but they taste *soooooo* good! And for 3/$1.97 it's not such a splurge...

I also tend to get happy-go-lucky with the checkbook in Health & Beauty. Which is probably why I'm rarely allowed to go to the grocery store alone anymore.

You're a masochist, aren't you?

Not really. Though it might seem that way. I'm just trying to make up for a bit of overdoing it while travelling...

Then you must define it as focusing on fiber and protein, not this negative advertising and depriving yourself spin.

B&J's.....

New York Super Fudge Chunk. About 1600 calories per spoonful, worry about exercise later as you drift into that calorie saturation stupor! :D

Thank you, I'm now craving Cherry Garcia...
that's my favorite.

Although the best ice cream I ever had was from the Creamery at Penn State, in State College, PA.

I MIGHT have to kill Lav, however, I will be spending this weekend in Austin...far, far away from all those yummy goodies!

My biggest weakness at the grocery store is Tom Thumb eclairs...four to a box, and they never last 24 hours.
