Life After Breath
Do You Believe In Life After Breath?
Have you ever heard him take his last one?
Were you with him when his last sun shone?
Did you see the last tear he would ever shed?
Ever think that sight would leave your head?
Were you with him when he left this world?
Was that tear his way of saying good-by?
Did he know he was your go-to-guy?
Did he know you loved him? Did you show him?
Are you questioning yourself why he left you alone and in doubt?
Is it a constant fight like a 15 round bout?
Feel like you are the one who lost the match?
Don’t think you have the right to win the fight
because he lost his life?
It’s been said, “life is not fair.”
Someone should say death, should not be so unfair.
At least I was with him when he took his last breath.
It was so sad to see him pass into death.
However, I know life flows on within us and without us.
And some of him lives on within others because of his death,
others will live another day to take another breath.
